system specs:
windows 7 x64 ultimate (retail, non oem)
laptop is 1 week old
fresh windows install
acer apsire timeline x 3820tg with switchable graphics (intel integrated graphics card and amd ati 6550m card)
custom hybrid catalyst 11.6 switchable driver (tested and proved by many acer users)
ok so every time I shutdown or restart the laptop it freezes and i get the BSOD...if I shutdown with the ati card active (high performance mode) its fine but if I shutdown with the intel card active (battery saver mode) it freezes then a bsod pops up and the laptop restarts. i tried reinstalling drivers of all kinds, flashed the bios and nothing has worked...it happens 100% of the time with above listed conditions. and its always blamed as usbhub.sys as the culprit but I know that its most likely not the problem (also no usb devices are attached to the computer)
