BSOD F4 & 7A while playing League of Legends or idling

Hello there and thanks in advance for your help!

So I've got BSOD F4 and recently 7A (cf enclosed files) repeatedly after roughtly 40 mins whatever I do, playing a game or just idling (I've got a BSOD while trying to write this message).

I got this after being on a streaming website, I was thinking of a malware or virus but I MBAM doesn't finds anything and Avast neither (my comp does go to BSOD before the advanced scan finishes though).

I have searched on this forum before asking for help, here is what I did (with no change):

• format c: (where OS is)
• Unplugged/replugged my SSD (on a new slot and new SATA cable)
• Removed my RAM, cleaned all sticks, and done a Memtest (10 passes, this took easily 24h xD) with no error detection
• Made a Cristal Disk test with no errors

Do you have any ideas or need any more info?

EDIT : I just forgot to describe what happens before the blue screen : whatever I do, the computer freezes (I can move my cursor but no clics are detected)

Please make sure to update your installation and check your SSD for firmware updates.

Diagnostics Test

 HDD TEST

Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums
Run following tests

1. Short Drive Self Test
2. Short generic
3. Long generic

If the short generic fails, no need for the long generic.

   Note

Do not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.

Run chkdsk
Disk Check - Windows 7 Help Forums

Run HDTune to

• scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
• check the health,
• benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
Let me know what the results are

• of the error scan,
• make a screenshot of the health of every hard drive and post the screenshots,
• post screenshots with the benchmark of the
  • transfer rate,
  • access time,
  • burst rate,
  • cpu usage.

Just to say I'm struggling to achieve the Long generic test since the computer is giving me F4 BSOD while processing, short drive self and short generic are ok though.

Brilliant idea!
I managed to achieve the following tests without errors (cf picts below) :

• short drive self test
• short generic
• long generic
• checkdisk on both drives (ssd and hdd)

I'm still bumping on a BSOD (F4) when trying to use HD tune full scan; I didn't found any DOS version unless my search was wrong?

Lets try something that sometimes occur with this kind of crashes.

Diagnostics Test

 Malware scan

Please run a threat scan with Malwarebytes*, a full scan with your AV, scan your system with Adwcleaner, Kaspersky TTDSKiller, ESET Online Scanner and SuperAntiSpyware

   Note

*(Uncheck trial version in the installation process)

Heya!

Sorry about taking time, this isn't easy to achieve those scans; I tried in safe mode with no changes.

Sooo here are the results :

• Malware bytes : nothing found
• Avast : can't manage to end the scan
• ADW cleaner : nope
• Kapersky TTDSKiller (that was a bit tricky to install btw): Found nothing
• Eset Online Scanner : he found some stiff but doesn't seems to uninstall them, in fact I can't go thought the whole process and pressing stop while scanning doesn't allow me to erase the found files.
• SuperAntiSpyware : found some like 9000++ unwanted cookies and erased them

I have to add that after having done all those tests and erasing work, I still stumbled upon the sames BSODs.

Any ideas?

Hello again!

I'm unfortunately back to say that I'm still experiencing crashes, this is now getting longer to get a crash.

Crashes are coming 2 ways (at around 40/60 mins of using computer):

• my computer freezes while showing black screen
• I'm getting a F4 BSOD

Just before crashing my skype is showing the error message shown in pict below.

The crashes have either not been recorded or you're talking about shutdown crashes.

From the description you gave it sounds a bit like a memory problem

Diagnostic Test

 RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 7 Forums

   Note

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.

As I said in first post, I already runned 10 passes of memtest with no seen problem, do you think this is still necessary do run another one?

What memtest did you run? MemTest86, MemTest86+ or another?

It was Memtest86+, I used USB installer version 5.01.
