I recently bought a new hard drive to replace my old one and did an installation with the Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 disk which came with the computer from PC Specialist.

I also used the H81-plus disk to install all the drivers for the motherboard.

Then installed avast antivirus.

I installed league of legends and played the game without any problems for the first few hours. I then connected my phone to the computer and it had some trouble finding the driver.
The problem started once I disconnected my phone from the computer. League just crashed.

Since then, each time I try to play league, I can enter custom games and it will work for about 30 seconds and then it will crash. I was able to last 10 minutes in one game before it crashed.

Not entirely sure what the problem is.

I've tried manually updating the graphics card from the nVidea website, but still no luck.

Any suggestion on what I can do to fix this problem?

Hello Velvoir and welcome to 7 forums :)

The crash occurred because a Windows system process was terminated unexpectedly. Possible causes are hard disk errors, System file corruption, Viruses, Lack of Windows updates or Drivers.

Let's start by looking for data corruption.

Cheers, Boris :)

Hi Boris and thanks :)

  • I haven't overclocked the system
  • I ran the Disk Check and it came up with "Windows has checked the file system and found no problems."
  • The SFC/ SCANNOW came up with "Windows has checked the file system and found no problems."

What should I do next?

Thanks, Aaron

Hello Aaron, no problem :)

Uh okay well do a full system scan with Avast, also you might wanna run this one:

AdwCleaner

Let those both run, AdwCleaner will require a reboot.

Check for updates both for Windows and from your motherboard Support Page, located here:

H81M-Plus

I know you said you had installed stuff from the CD that came with the motherboard, however most of the time it has already gotten old.

Check if your GeForce card needs updates.

That's all for now.

Cheers, Boris :)
