My laptop was receiving the irql not less or equal BSOD and I think I was able to find the problem, it was a corrupted wifi driver. As of now it is not crashing anymore, but now, when I am just using it normally, such as on Google Chrome, I will be using it for a while and then all of a sudden I will notice that my keyboard stops working. This is followed by me being able to use my touchpad but I can't click on anything and then finally the touchpad completely freezes and all that I see is my frozen screen. I am really not sure why this is happening because I just re-installed Windows 7 on it and all the drivers are up to date.

My specs are as follows:
Asus UL30A laptop
Windows 7 Pro 32-bit
60GB OCZ Vertex SSD
3GB RAM

I was, initially getting a BSOD error as I said, and it was from some networking file with a .sys extension. So, I installed an older version of the driver and that seemed to work. But now, as I am writing this, I have been using my laptop and I have had to manually turn off the laptop and then turn it back on about 4 times. The freezing times are never the same either. But, where do I find this info collector that you were mentioning? I should also mention that since my Windows re-installation I have done the windows memory diagnostic tool and that didn't find any errors either.

This is just an update for my previous post: I took a picture of the BSOD when it was occuring and it was the NETw5s32.sys file. And if this helps, it was the address 96C15AFE base at 96C03000. DateStamp 4b4df694

I have attached the requested reports.

As far as my system information:

Windows 7 x86 Professional
This was the same OS originally installed
This OS however was re-installed since I replaced the stock hard drive with an SSD
The laptop and SSD were purchased in December 2009
I have also re-installed the OS because of problems, it was re-installed about 72 hours ago.

Hello,
Please go to C:\Windows and find MEMORY.DMP. Upload it on a third party uploader site (since the file size is huge) using MediaFire or Uppit.

Unfortunately, I am pretty sure that since the last time it crashed (and it hasn't in a while, as I have said now it is just freezing) I deleted the memory dump files. The one thing that I did recently, though, was I booted it into safe mode without a network connection and have run several virus and malware scans, just so it has something to do. I tried doing this while it booted normally and it froze but now that I am in safe mode, no freezing is occuring. I am going to try it with a network connection to see if that changes anything. If I rule out the network connection, though, do you think that I should just try another OS re-installation?

Just an update: I started my laptop up in safe mode with networking and ran a few virus and malware scans, again just to give it something to do. One thing that I had tried while actually in Windows was watching netflix online, which it froze. I (at the time of this writing) am running some tv shows through netflix while in safe mode and so far it hasn't crashed. So, my thoughts so far is that it is some driver or something related to Windows and all I can think of doing is re-installing Windows but I would rather have an easier fix than that.

Ok, that theory just went flying out the window because my laptop completely froze in the middle of a netflix tv episode. So, I officially have no idea what's wrong or what to do.

Do a Hard Drive Test (using SeaTools) and see what happens.

Can that be run on the SSD? I have never had a problem with the SSD and I can't exactly use the original HDD because it is now being used as external storage.

Do you think that that tool can be used with any SSD or just Intel's? If it makes a difference mine is OCZ.

Haha don't worry I haven't yet for that exact reason. Let me know if you come up with anything else. By the way, besides the SSD do you have any other ideas on my freezing problem, do you think it's a hardware problem? I'm also thinking I might reinstall windows 7 again, for some reason I think it might be an update or win 7 service pack 1. Let me know thanks.

So this should work on other SSD's? Also what do you think of a windows re-installation because of updates or the service pack?
