Ok and just for confirmation, that tool you linked to should work on other SSD's correct?

Sorry for the long absence, I have since reinstalled Win7 twice and as of now it still looks like I am getting the same freezing issues which I don't understand at all. Now, as far as the drive tool when I click on the link there are multiple products listed, which one do I need to use?

It still systematically freezes, one part at a time and this happens at random intervals.

The latest zip file to what?

Just to give you an update, I must have reinstalled windows 7 32 bit pro on my laptop at least 3 or so times since I created this thread. As of now, my laptop boots fine and I can use everything. But, after about 2-3 hours or so (sometimes longer), I notice that I can't click anything, then the start menu doesn't work and finally my touchpad stops working. I have tried having the task manager up at all times to see if I can spot anything weird but I never get anywhere. Now, my laptop did originally come with a regular HDD before I replaced it with a SSD. I've never had any problems with the SSD but now I am starting to think that it may be the culprit to this. It is an OCZ 60GB Vertex (1st generation)

I'm pretty sure that I already uploaded that but I will do it again. My system now does 1 of 2 things. As mentioned several times before, my system will crash with the netw5s32.sys file to blame. The other thing my system will do is (1 at a time) freeze: going from the start menu not working, keyboard not working and finally the complete system freeze. Sometimes the freezing can take several hours to happen and other times it only takes about a half hour. I have tried uninstalling my wifi driver, I even went into the windows folder and deleted the netw5s32.sys file before trying to reinstall the driver. I appreciate any help that I can get, thanks.

There is no toolbox for OCZ non Sandforce SSDs. 'OCZ 60GB Vertex (1st generation)'
Your desktop system specs say 'OCZ Vertex 2 50GB', this might be useful for it.

Yes, I have the Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN
My CPU is the U7300
I'm sorry for the confusion, my laptop does have the Vertex 60GB 1st generation (my desktop has the other one I mentioned, just got mixed up)
I am running Norton Internet Security 2011 (fully updated). I also saw that that report showed no anti-virus which I didn't understand.
I bought the laptop in December of '09.
As far as uninstalling the driver, I went into the device manager and found the wifi driver and uninstalled it (i also checked the box to delete the driver software.)
Since the crash was caused by that networking system file, I also went into the Windows folder, found that file and deleted it.
I have tried just about every iteration of my wifi driver and (i feel like I'm beating this into the ground) every time it either crashes or totally freezes.
One of the things I just tried was installing an open source driver which didn't work.
Do you know where to get actual Intel drivers, from their website? I tried and tried and couldn't find anything.
I did get that driver sweeper but I don't see where to use it for the wifi driver.
I have run the experience index, maybe not on this installation. What does that have to do with my problem though?

Try the suggestions in this thread, sounds similar to your issues, although a different WIFI: Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN Causing Crashes

I have seen these reports not show any AV, even with MSE.
Have you run a full scan lately?

Driver Sweeper evidently won't un-install the WiFi drivers, just checked it.

The Windows Experience Index is throwing up flags about low performance because all your scores are 0s.
Don't think it will affect this issue but, you might want to run it to prevent unnecessary flags.

Let me know if the above link helps.

So sorry for the long delay. I'm not 100% what to say at this point, I used my laptop yesterday from about 5 until 11 PM without any issues and I am currently writing this post on it as well. The reason, though, that I say I'm not 100% is because sometimes it takes a long time to freeze. One time it took about 8 hours (while in safe mode with networking & playing netflix videos as a test) to freeze. I did download that driver from your latest post @Dave76, so I'm hoping that's what fixed it. One other thing that I have noticed might be a part of this issue: sometimes I will notice that my wireless has lost connection and when I go to find my network (on the list of available connections) its nowhere to be found, but if I turn the WIFI on on my phone or another computer, I have no problem and then usually after maybe a minute or so my network finally shows up on my laptop. That part of the issue isn't that big of a deal but I'm wondering if its not related to something else. I know my router works perfectly fine.

Glad to hear it's running better, let's hope it stays that way.

Go to Asus support site and update any new drivers they have, check the driver date before you install a new WiFi driver.

Let us know if you have any more issues.

What resolved it in the end?

My UL30 eats a Wireless LAN card every few months giving difficult boots and random freezes. I modified the case so I could remove the card without dismantling the whole thing again. As half size mini pci-e cards are not that easy to get at a reasonable price, new and not ebay fake, the next one will be a USB cheapy.
