Hello I recently bought parts to assemble a computer from Newegg.com

The computer works great and all, except it randomly freezes. I have to then do an improper shutdown and etc. I don't think it is anything wrong with the computer itself, because I see so many people having problems with Windows 7 freezing that have same system specs I do. Anyways, help would be greatly appreciated because I can't take this anymore.

AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor 3.10GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
ACPI x86-based PC
4.00GB Ram
802.11n Wireless LAN Card

I suck at computers oh my goooooooooooooood. Willing to highly cooperate thank you everyone.

Hi.

In the future if necessary, please use the paperclip above where you type to attach files.

Update this driver and it should be alright:

BIOS BIOS.sys Wed Mar 16 02:23:52 2005

If that doesn't do it, completely uninstall your antivirus and firewall apps, to test.

Hello I searched google and it is my understanding that this is the driver for my motherboard? After finding out my model, from Biostar; TA790GXE, I updated all the drivers they listed there.

BIOSTAR :: TA790GXE :: Overview

The one problem I see though is the "CPU" driver does not have a download file for Win7. Could this be the problem? I'm still experiencing this freezing. After I updated my drivers for this motherboard and the freezing stopped for 5 days but came back out of no where. I reinstalled the drivers and still having same problem. Nothing is wrong with my ram or power supply and I dunno what else to do.

I e-mailed Biostar support but their support turned out to be some lame guy who goes on a month break for Thanksgiving.

Did you, "completely uninstall your antivirus and firewall apps, to test?"

Yes, you're probably right about no hardware errors but neither you nor I can be positive about it until bsod do not happen any longer. Not even diagnositic tests can prove it, in relation to RAM. They can only help make a really good guess after a long time of running that nothing is wrong. Key part is "long time" as in at least overnight.

I was really hoping this was a driver-related issue but if it is a hardware issue I'll be prepared to work on it. I have uploaded another crash for one more analysis incase the problem, for one reason or another changed. If it still shows the same error then I'll proceed to revert back to WinXP, and if that doesn't work, it will be time to check out my hardware. Thank you for all your help, it is much appreciated.

You're welcome.

You still have that bios.sys on the system causing errors.

And also, it is very advisable to update to 7600 RTM version of Win 7. The 7100 is going to expire soon anyhow.
