Solved BSOD - Happens at different times

I built this computer last November (2013) and have been getting BSOD randomly. It first showed that my antivirus (avast!) was the issue so I removed it and have still been getting it. I've done some research and have not been able to solve the issue. The BSODs will mostly occur while either playing League of Legends or using anything with a flash player or flash plugin.

The latest dump files we have are in January of this year. Please follow this tutorial and make sure yoursystem is configured to create dump files. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html.

Although it was in January, the one of most interest was this one, dated Jan 7.

Code:
Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.
BugCheck[COLOR=red] A0000001[/COLOR], {5, 0, 0, 0}
Probably caused by : atikmdag.sys ( atikmdag+277ce )
Followup: MachineOwner

That code is always caused by the Graphics card or Driver. I'm sure you have updated the driver since then, but are you still having graphics problems?

Also, please go to your motherboard's web site and update your motherboard drivers. Some of your USB drivers were out of date at that time.

Also please,
Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Please fill out your System Specs

   Information
Your System Specs will help us to help you, and doing it in this manner will make them available to all helpers in every post and keep us from hunting for them. We ask that you fill them out in as much detail as possible including Desktop or Laptop, Model number if it is an OEM computer and all components with the Manufacturer and Model number if possible.

If you will go to your last post and click the 'System Specs' in the bottom left of the post, you will find a link to update your system specs. Please fill those out in as much detail as possible. If you would like to know what we would like, you can click 'My System Specs' at the bottom left of this post to see mine. If you do not know what your components are, this will help you accomplish this task. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/180324-system-info-see-your-system-specs.html

I updated my system specs with my components and model numbers.

I did the "sfc /scannow" and it came back with the following message "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

I followed the tutorial to create dump files. I'm not sure if I need to do the complete, kernel, or the small. I am currently configured to create the "Kernal" dump files - the only thing that I did not have selected was the "automatically restart" option.

I updated my drivers including the USB ones. I am using the latest video drivers as well. I am still experiencing BSODs and actually just had one while trying to start up Assassin's Creed.

Please configure it to create small memory dumps. Please go to C:/windows and look for Minidump folder. If there is not one there, create one. Your page should look like this.
View attachment 323666

We need the dump files to be able to find out what is happening. If you have anything overclocked, please set everything to default values. In C:/Windows you should find a Minidump folder like this

I now have it set up to do Small memory dumps. I checked my windows folder and I see the "minidump" folder with the latest file being 2/27/14. I'm assuming I just need to wait until my next BSOD and post a new log file, correct?

Edit: I also do not have anything overclocked.

That's correct. Unfortunately without that file, we have nothing to work with. I would suggest you updating all your motherboard drivers from MSI's web site and if you are overclocking anything, return it to default values. Also, make sure your ram is set to Manufacturer's specs with regard to frequency, timings and voltage.

About two days ago I actually already uninstalled my graphics drivers and followed this How To: Remove Your AMD / ATi GPU Drivers
I already had the latest GPU drivers but like you suggested I wanted to start fresh. After I followed that I re-downloaded the latest drivers.

I just tried to install the latest DirectX and it said it was already up to date.

Could this all be cause by a faulty video card? I do have the first wave of the Radeon R9 270x, I bought it about a week after it first came out.

Sure it could be because of a faulty card, But I'm not sure it is that yet. How are the temps on the card while gaming or during heavy use? Many people use Furmark (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100356-video-card-stress-test-furmark.html) to stress the card, but I use Ungine Heaven (Download Heaven Benchmark | Unigine: real-time 3D engine (game, simulation, visualization and VR)) to test for stability. It seems much more realistic and is much mire interesting to watch. I would use the extreme presets and run the benchmark. Watch your temps very closely with either one as they will rise rapidly. If they get too high, shut the test down. Also watch for any artifacts while the test is running.

If you don't have a GPU monitoring program, try MSI Afterburner(MSI Afterburner) It will allow you to set a custom fan profile as well as on screen display so you can see it during games.

I used the Ungine Heaven engine for about 20 minutes. The max temperature was 66*C with it spending most of its time at 65*C.

I also took it a step further and removed my video card and ran on integrated graphics for about 30 minutes just to try and rule out the video card, but I BSOD twice in that time with the video card removed.

Those were good temps for your card. Your BSOD on integrated graphics, I can only guess that you had the drivers for the dedicated card and they conflicted with drivers from your on board graphics or there were no drivers for on board graphics. I presume you put your card back in.

Try running the benchmark. On the first screen the second option should be presets. Set it to extreme. All other options should be greyed out. click to start, it will take a few minutes for the test to load. When it starts moving click Benchmark at the top left of the screen. Just watch your temps. If they get too high, stop the test. let it run the benchmark and watch for any artifacts.

I ran the bench mark with no issues - did not see any tearing or artifacts at all. I tried to save the test results but looks like they didn't save. If I recall correctly the score was around 760ish.

That's most likely about right. But, it's good there were no artifacts and temps were OK, I assume, and best of all, it didn't crash. Next I would like to run some tests.

Please Run Memtest86+
picture.php

   Information
Please download from this site http://www.memtest.org/ in the middle of the page are the Download links, you can download the ISO.zip or the Auto USB Flash Drive installer.zip

Extract the Zip file. If you chose the ISO image, burn it to a CD using Windows Disk Image Burner or any Image burner you may have. If you downloaded the Auto USB installer, extract it, insert your USB 2.0 Flash Drive and take note of the drive letter. Run the installer, select the Flash Drive Letter, check the format box and press next. It will install memtest86+ to a flash drive. You can use either V4.20 or V5.01. Boot from your selected media. If you use V5.01 it will tell you to press certain buttons at the start, please press no buttons. The test will begin on it's own and continue to run until you stop it. It needs to run for 8 complete passes or until you receive an error. If you receive an error, stop the test. Even 1 error is a fail. Each pass tests a different part of the ram and each of the 10 tests in each pass tests something different. It takes a minimum of 8 passes to completely test the ram, more passes are better. It is quite a long test and will take several hours depending on how much ram you have. Due to the time length it is best to run overnight. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask

Sirsnazzy, in your first post you said you uninstalled Avast but it keeps showing up from time to time. Try this and see if you can completely get rid of it. avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal
Would you also check and see if you are running the latest firmware for your SSD please. Crucial SSD Firmware Updates

Would you also run the Western Digital diagnostic rest on your Western Digital Drive. The Life Guaed for DOS will give the best results, if you can't use it, use the Life Guard for Windows which is an installable diagnostic test. WD Support / Downloads / SATA & SAS / WD Black If you would like it, you can also download an abbreviated version of Acronis backup from the same link.

After you run those, please run http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html again. I would like to see what, if anything, has changed.

I ran the avast! removal tool and updated the firmware for my Crucial SSD. I also ran the WD diagnostic test - I had to run the windows version, it did not come up with any errors. I've also had 2 blue screens since I have done this. I attached the latest logs.

Sirsnazzy, next I would like to try running Prime95. It is a CPU stress test but also stresses the whole system for stability. The tutorial I am going to post recommends Speedfan for a CPU Temp program. You can use what you like, but I don't prefer speedfan, I prefer Core Temp and leave it open during the test and also leave CPUz open during the test. Cpuz will tell you a lot of info about your system. Keep it on the CPU tab and watch the CPU frequency and the core voltage during the test. Core temp will show you the cores and the activity and temp of each core. It will also tell you your max temp. If it goes within 15C of the max temp, stop the test (file >Stop) then to close it after stopping it File > Exit. Please run it for a minimum of 3 Hours or until you see a core shut down or notifications that programs are closing. If any of those things happen, stop the test. Any time you have any questions, please feel free to ask. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html

Also, where did you get your copy of Windows and where did you get the DVD or did you download an ISO file. If so where did you download it from?
