Interesting.

Carry out following which will help me better understand the log files.

HOW TO POST A SNAPSHOT OF DISK MANAGEMENT DISPLAY
Run disk management:
WIN |
type DISKMGMT.MSC | ENTER
This method gives you a display without the unneeded navigation pane.
WIN=key with Microsoft logo on top.

Maximize the output of Disk Management:
Maximize the output of Disk Management:
ALT-Spacebar key combo | X key (selects Maximize) |
Drag the field separators (such as between Status and Capacity) to show entire field.

Make a snapshot:
WIN |
type SNIPPING | ENTER | New
Drag the cursor around the area you want to snip.
File | Save as | select save location and name | Save

That looks ok. Incidentally, the autoruns file is peculiar but I do not have an explanation.

Post an updated set of those three files, startup, taskscheduler and install.

I'm having a hard time putting the pieces together. Those three files and the autoruns file contradict each other. do you have an explanation?

I have no idea :\ The only thing I noticed is that I typically get blue screens when my wifi stops working. I get the limited connectivity sign even though I know there is wifi working, and then when I try to repair the adapter, it gets hung up and causes the blue screen when I try to shut down the laptop. I thought it might have been norton causing it before; do you think its completely deleted from my laptop or are there still traces of it?

I did not find traces of Norton.

Since you have no explanation of those differences, then I'm going to ask you to make some changes with autoruns.

However, it is break time for me. May be tomorrow before I'm back again. I'll see if i can get some others to take a look.

Hi, I'm still getting blue screens, and I'm starting to think it's a wireless driver or something, because I seem to get frequent crashes whenever I get a "limited access" wireless sign and ONLY if I attempt to repair/reset the wireless adapter. If I just reboot the laptop without attempting to repair, it will reboot fine without any crashes and the wifi will work again. Any advice would be appreciated in helping to solve the problem.
