Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate any help on my BSOD problems of late. I seem to get BSOD and also system freezes while playing Battlefield 3 and have also had occasions where browsing on Chrome has caused a BSOD. Regarding system freezes, this happens during Battlefield 3 the screen freezes and audio freezes or loops. My pc doesn't respond and the only measure is to hard reset. I've had 7 BSODs in the past 2 months and think it's now really time to sort this out!

I've done clean installs of various geforce drivers in safe mode with Driver Fusion and CCleaner; in Safe Mode uninstalling the gtx580, remove drivers, run Driver Fusion, CCleaner then Driver Fusion again. Reboot back into Safe Mode to finalise driver removal then install new drivers. I'm now using v314.22. I'm hoping this may fix the DX and NV BSODs, but we'll see.

I'm not very technical with BSOD stuff but realise that a multitude of reasons could contribute to a BSOD and not just a single cause? So would someone be kind enough to debug my minidumps? I'm not techy enough to debug minidumps but techy enough to follow any instructions given!

Your dumps indicate multiple causes:

Problematic Wacom driver, should be updated: Hardware Drivers | Wacom

Outdated ATK0110 driver:
P7P55D - Motherboards - ASUS

   Information

Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005). You may have to use the Device Manager to install the driver.

An ESET security was also involved, temporarily remove any version of that AV. There are also a bunch of dmps pointing to DirectX, you should test your graphics card. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/160729-nvidia-amd-video-card-test-occt.html

About Eset Nod32, is there anyway to get around that? If that is an offending app then how would I know which AV app wouldn't give me issues?

You could use MSE, Eset can be reinstalled once it's ruled out as cause.

I don't believe this..has been great for a while playing lots of games then another BSOD. Looks like it's graphics drivers but having clean installed the drivers in safe mode, not sure what else could be causing this. Could you please have a look at the latest minidump?

The latest dump doesn't tell much, but memory corruption is mentioned. It your RAM overclocked?
You should test it with Memtes86+, run it for at least 7 passes

What were the results of the GPU test?

I ran OCCT for the gpu and it was fine. I ran the OCCT cpu test and it failed after 5 mins so I took off the overclock and it ran fine for about 20 mins, I should really run it for an hour but I'm pretty sure it's stable now. I think it must be the overclocking that has been causing the crashes lately. It was overclocked quite aggressively for the past 3 years, about 50% OC. I guess the cpu and RAM must be starting to wear. I'll run memtest as you said when i get the chance.
