Hi
I have been having random BSOD for ever it seems and usually it sorts itself out for a bit but now it's happening more times than not and the PC has become unusable.

Symptoms are that the screen flickers, the mouse moves jittery all over the place, everything seems top crawl.

It's like my OS decided to go back to Win 95 speeds.

I thought it was my video card so I removed it and connected to the on board but still I get a BSOD.
I moved the ram to different slots but still BSOD.
Also another syumptom is the clock keeps losing time.
I have also changed the BIOS battery.

If I have missed anything out let me know,

Thanks in advance

hi

looking at the faulty devices it appears that your smbus controller has problems and is causing a domino effect on PNP drivers.

please read this article, and change windows updates to NOT install drivers

Intel(R) Chipset Device Software Update Through Microsoft Windows*...

it would appear you are also running a non-genuine install
retail motherboard using an asus product key
forum rules dictate that no further help can provided until you purchase a genuine key

Thanks for the reply Roy,
I took what you said on board, I bought a product key and did a clean instal and the problems seemed to have gone away. (I think!! I have attached a new log)

I never wanted to buy another Windows product again after spending a fortune on a Windowes ME disc that went out of date as soon as I bought it. But that was about 100 years ago now....

But I think spending on a OS that I like is worth it so thanks for opening my eyes.
