my minidumps are no longer saving on my desktop, i have searched in windows minidumps and they are not there, and my settings place them on my desktop but they dont show

sad times, i updated my bios from ver 1200 to 2204 and now it freezes when i try and boot up in safe mode? little bits of red and blue appears on the upper part of the screen when i do

Do you know how to update teh BIOS? Are you aware of the risk that a little wrong step or a single interpretation will convert the motherboard to a brick?

Why you tried to update the BIOS at your own? Do you know how to flash it back to the earlier version?

If not, take the computer to a technician, describe the situation to him and ask him to do a flashback for you.

i formatted the flash drive and put the .cap file onto it, in bios i loaded up the qflash thing and found the flash drive and double clicked it, it asked if i wanted to update bios and i said yes, 2 minutes later it said update completed successfully. it restarted and now it wont do anything? :/

I think you have done a blunder. You should not have gone for it at the first place at your own. Let us see what the others think about this situation.

thank you, im running start up repair but i don't think that will do anything, its just nice to see it working until is bsod's.

Try booting into bios and load optimized defaults (F5 on your board I believe), go to extreme tweaker and set your ram frequency, timings and voltage by hand. In Advanced go to sata configuration and see what the sata mode is. It should be AHCI by default, don't change anything, just look right now. Set your boot options, and make sure all of your hard drives are recognized, save and exit. See if that helps you any.

Thanks I will try that when I get home, can anyone explain something? There is two thin metal connection on the mobo that if you finish the connection like with a screw driver it does something? What does it do?

I'm not sure what you're talking about unless it is the clear CMOS pins. But, they are pins not thin metal connectors. If that is what you're referring to. : How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)
But I'm not sure that's your problem. I would advise against it right now.

Don't make connections with Anything, it can totally trash your board.
Use a flashlight and see if there is printing around the pins, or take a picture and upload so we can see it.

Let's not go there right now. By setting optimized defaults you have done much of that and, I'm not sure you know how to do it. Plus, I don't think that is your problem at this point.
