BSOD - Kernel-Power Failure? Related to LSI_SAS2?

I am in the process of setting up my updated file server, replacing a C2D with a I3 mobo/CPU/RAM combo. The HBAs, HDDs, SSD (for OS), NIC, PSU, case, cables, etc. have remained the same. The HBAs are LSI 9211-8i (to IT mode reflashed IBM M1015 SAS PCIe cards). OS is Win7 Ultimate SP1 with all mandatory and optional patches and updates.

The C2D set up had been running rock solid for months. With the I3 set up I am now getting sudden reboots after a few hours of running the system problem free.

I did the Win7 system install from scratch, i.e. did not re-use the C2D system install. During the course of troubleshooting, I redid the system install twice, but ran into the same BSOD issue.

From the Win 7 log I wonder if (2) HBA cards/drivers could be the culprits. I have updated in the meantime to the latest LSI drivers, but again, got the same BSOD issue.

Logs are attached.

I would be grateful for any help or pointers!

Thanks!

You are right, the issue is related to LSI Adapter, SAS2 2008 Falcon.

Search for any possible driver update from Download Search.

If there is no possible update, or if the situation is not improved even after the driver update, disable sleep (it would be no problem for a desktop to be disabled to sleep).

Also make it sure that your SSD is running with the latest firmware. OCZ Toolbox and Firmware Update Releases

Let us know for any further BSOD after doing these.

Thanks for the feedback, Arc.
I am already on the latest drivers and f/w.

I started exploring another avenue: I have found a comment that this LSI adapter requires at least a PCIEX8 slot. The old mobo (P5Q PRO Turbo) supports it, while the new mobo (GA-H67A-UD3H-B3) only does PCIEX4 on the second slot if both are populated, which is here the case. I may have to get a different mobo.
Interesting enough, the device manager reports both cards as running w/o problems with the new mobo.

Try to be sure about it?
