Hey guys, new here, found site through google :D
I have a serious problem here, I bought this laptop less than 1 year ago at best buy.
Its a Toshiba Satellite M645, Windows 7 home premium 64bit, 4gb ram (When i bought it), 500gb hdd, core i5 cpu.
Ever since i bought it I've had BSOD's about once a month, didn't bother me too much, never found out what the problem was. Last week i bought 8gb of ddr3 memory to upgrade my laptop, and ever since i installed it I've been getting BSOD's several times a day, it happens randomly, when i'm browsing, playing a game, listening to music, watching a movie etc. So what i want to know is if the new ram i installed is defective so i can return it, or did it make the previous BSOD's worse (when i had 4gb installed).
The exact memory type i installed is this PNY Optima MN8192KD3-1066 Notebook Memory Kit - 8GB (2x4GB), PC3-8500, DDR3 1066MHz at TigerDirect.com
I will be doing a RAM test with memtest86+ shortly, but since i had a BSOD problem before i installed the new RAM i decided to post my dump files first. I hope i did everything right, first time doing it.
Thank You :)

Hardware Age: Less than 12 months
OS Age: Less than 12 months (never re-installed)

first pass of memtest resulted in 5 errors, going to continue testing ram sticks individually to see if the problem is with the ram or mobo slot.

Your status updates are less likely to be missed if you post them as a reply. Otherwise, what happens is one of the chaps comes by and only sees the original info and is unaware that you've make some valuable additions.

Ok guys just got back home, i was out of town and im testing my laptop with the original 4gb memory it came with, so far no erros on pass 1, will leave running for at least 7 passes to make sure, so im pretty sure the culprit was the bad memory i bought, but im still wondering why my computer has BSOD's when using the stock 4gb, has anyone checked my dump files?? :(
