BSOD multiple times on "new" Dell Outlet Inspiron Desktop

Hi--

I'm new here...and desperate! I ordered an Insipron 570 desktop from Dell Outlet last week. It was delivered today, and has randomly restarted itself at least five times since then. I called tech support and all they offered was to help me do a system restore. But if it's happening the first time I touched the computer, I don't think that's the issue. Plus I couldn't really understand the guy, as he was talking too fast, with too thick an accent for my abilities.

I (think I've) attached the dmp files for the crashes, and I hope someone can help me figure out what they mean! This is my first Windows machine in 5 years, and I don't want to regret it too soon!

Defective hardware is the cause, most probably a failing RAM or GPU

All types of RAM can have defects regardless if its new or old

Well, Dell is sending out a technician. Think I can get them to check the RAM? They're supposedly replacing the motherboard and hard drive...

Check the RAM using the Memtest tool linked above

While it may be true that RAM can be defective "out-of-the-box" Dell has a larger responsibility to test its product before it foists it on consumers.

The bad ram is Dell's problem not yours! You didn't marry the computer, you purchased it.

If this is a new computer, and if you paid for it with a credit card, then tell the Dell tech to replace it with a new machine. If they balk, then call your credit card company and tell them you want to return it for a new one and Dell refuses. Believe me, you'll either get a new computer or a refund of your money.

I tried this, and my computer rebooted during running the Memtest tool! It got about 50% of the way through the first pass, then rebooted.

The RAM is probably defective, you should replace it
