BSOD No Longer Logging to Minidump

My Dad's build has been getting various bluescreens since the end of June, but the last dump file is dated July 12th and they are still happening (now into August).

It happens before I can catch the screen but it's the kind that says it's shutting down to protect the hardware. It is a blue screen, but is this a different type of bluescreen (since it's not being added to minidump)? It is so random, whether the machine is asleep or if he's watching Youtube. I haven't been able to address the issues that were logged yet since I was going to do some basic hardware tests next time I was there, but the fact it's not logging these now is disturbing.

Anyone know why this is?

Thanks guys. That is a very nice tutorial. I wonder why they were saving then suddenly stopped with no change implemented by the user.
