BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe constantly at fault?

Forgive me, for I'm completely and technologically illiterate, but I purchased new computer parts. . .
...installed XP and have had 0 problems ...
... if I'm ever interested in attempting to re-install Windows 7, that means it was most likely a driver/update issue, right?

Not necessarily.

Who put the system together after you bought the parts?
... it's the opinion of my father (who is an electrical engineer) that something in the Windows 7 disk itself is corrupt,...
To rule out the OEM DVD you purchased as contributing factor, download Windows 7 x64 Enterprise Edition trial version ISO and burn to DVD-R with Imgburn.

Wipe the HDD with KillDisk first to remove all remnants of prior Windows OS.

If Windows 7 Enterprise Edition BSODs, then hardware is the obvious culprit.

pozdrav peroviću i ja sam perović :D
And @Per0 - I'm sorry, I only speak English :(
His name is the same as your screen name.

Regards. . .
