Hi, I have been getting a couple of BSOD especially when playing Dota2.
Usually my laptop reboots by itself and works fine after each BSOD.

Note that i am dual booting Win7 64 bit and Ubuntu.

I am new to the forum, do tell me if you need any additional information.

Please run the dm log collector again, several files are missing and some are corrupted.

It is returning empty text files (I ran as admin) and it cannot read the dxdiag.txt.
I tried both the dm log collector and SF Diagnostic Tool, both having the same results.
Is there any other way to collect the information that you need?

Thank you for your quick response.

Diagnostics Test

 System File Check

Please try following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

Try booting in safe mode and run the dm log collector again

Followed your instructions;

Run cmd as admin and entered command sfc/scannow , it returned: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

Restarted laptop in Safe Mode and did the same thing (sfc/scannow), same outcome.

(Safe Mode) Run dm log collector and SF Diagnostic tools, both returned the same empty txt files except for the MSINFO32.nfo which I attached below.

Restarted again, this time normal boot and run sfc/scannow, still same outcome.

Copied the CBS.log

Note: For some months now, my laptop just freezes after around 1h when left idle on desktop(no software running, even in background or minimized). The fix I found for this was to leave my task manager open and minimize it. This has been working since.

Thank you again for your time and quick response.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. The windows disk I currently have is not the same version of windows 7 that is installed on my machine(Message I got on screen when booting from CD and following instructions), thus i am not able to launch the repair process.

I think i'll just wipe my primary partition and do a clean install, if nothing else can be done.
Thank you again for your quick response and your time.
