Hi, my dad's Dell Vostro 620 has been suffering BSOD for a month.
I've re-seated the ram and disconnected and reconnected various sata and power connections, ran memtests, Avast Malware remove. Still no luck. Attached is my Blue Screen View file and zipped SF Diag tool report. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome willie mate some more system specs would be helpful for us to start I am no good at reading the dump stuff but for starters see if you can run these and any rubbish that gets picked up - delete it. Also is the machine in permanent BSOD? if so try safe mode for the first two links for file scanning.

Ran diags and updated drivers

@SandeepP

Thanks. Went on Dell web support site:

-Updated the audio, wireless and system update drivers.
-Diags ran- all passed.

Attached is the malware results and the malware has been removed.

@ICit2lol

System information populated and updated.

BSOD is happening sporadically, while surfing web. However, when running malwarebytes, BSOD happened each time. I had to run on safe mode to get the scanning completed. Also, ran disk check, no errors.

Hi williemays,

Thanks for your reply.

Kindly run driver verifier to check if there are any drivers causing this issue:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

Also, make sure you remove any antivirus or security software from the system and ensure only MSE is been used:

Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

Hi Sandeep,

I ran the driver verifier and selected the non-Microsoft items.

I also removed all antivirus and security software programs. Avast gave me BSOD 4 out 4 times during Uninstall. So I ran in safemode and finally uninstalled Avast.

Right now running youtube videos on IE. No BSOD, yet!

Willie mate I would not run the machine for too long with no security of course this is your choice mate but at least have these on board

http://www.superantispyware.com/

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

ADW download from bleepingcomputer
For some other choices see this
Probably the Best Free Security List in the World point 2 has the real time scanners but again it is your choice personally I think running with nothing is foolhardy to say the least.

If the problem comes back and you think it is Avast related it might be necessary to check in the registry via regedit for left over entries for it but only if this problem happens again. In that case we can go through that with you:)

Hi IC and Sandeep, I still had MSE installed and running, as I removed Avast and Malwarebytes. Sorry for the miscommunication. I've run MSE full and quick scans, no found issues.

Unfortunately, I am still getting BSOD...
