Hello,
I recently finished building a PC for my girlfriend, mostly for gaming and internet browsing. Here are the specs:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Mobo: Asus f1a55 M LX Plus
CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 631
RAM: 4GB Crucial Ballistix 1333mhz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6850
HDD: 500GB WD 5400rpm
PSU: CiT 500w
The BSODs seem to occur only when gaming and even then it seems rather infrequent and random. It was happening a lot more but I re-installed GPU drivers which seemed to stop the crashing until it happened again tonight.
Initially the PC had an old GPU in (an ASUS 4350) this was for a couple of weeks until we could afford to buy a new graphics card. I think the PC was running fine then although obviously she wasn't gaming hardly at all with that GPU. Also the original graphics card I bought had to be sent back because it was faulty. We received a new one, it went into the machine and seemed to work fine until the PC began to frequently BSOD with this error message.
So far I have only ran a chkdsk, but there was no problems found, my next plan was to run memtest+
I have looked around online but it seems that this kind of BSOD can be quite unique to each PC. So I thought i would post here and see if I could get any help or advice
first.
Thanks in advance
