BSOD on no activity for a few hours

Having somewhat random issues where the PC blue screens or complete freezes up and requires a hard reboot when I step away from the PC for a few hours or overnight.

Ive tried to upgrade the video drivers, this has only delayed the BS for some time.

Looking at the dump files is not telling me anything but that seems to be a little beyond my expertise.

I can see that the BS seem to have been a different cause each time for the 9 dumps that have been captured.

Anyway I ran the tool as instructed and hope that someone can help me pinpoint the issues with this PC.

PS BS means bluescreen not the other BS

There are a few causes for the recent crashes.

This is your AMD video driver.
Please uninstall everything of AMD using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from AMD

Because you had a 0x1A(memory_management) please test your memory

   Note

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Thanks for the info, I suspected the video drivers as they have been a nightmare from day one on this machine.

I will follow up on each one of these items and respond as soon as I get them done..Going to take it slow, so one at a time to see which, if any, make a difference.

I took care of fixing the first two issues but the PC seems to be acting up the same or maybe even more now which I am thinking is pointing to the memory issue.

I haven't been able to get local to the PC since my last post to run the mem test so I attached the dump log output again in case there is something in there.

Are there any windows based mem test tools i can try in the meantime that you recommend?

For testing the memory I wouldn't recommend Windows based tools as they aren't good enough.

So I ran the memtest+ disc twice and both times came up clean. Once only ran 3 passes, second ran 7, before the PC had to be used. Both both were clean with zero errors.

No idea where to go at this point.

You'll need to run MemTest86+ again for at least 8 complete passes, less is a waste of time as it gives inconclusive results.

To completely rule out the memory, please check the RAM frequency and voltage in the BIOS and let me know what their values are.

I wont have access to the PC u til tomorrow again, bit I'm pretty sure that the memory settings aren't editable.

I will be at the PC in a couple of hours. I'm going to pull out all of the cards, etc and make sure everything is seated properly again. And then check the bios memeory settings. What else do you recommend I do next so that I can keep moving?

I would recommend a standard thing, make sure the installed software is up to date.

This machine has been fairly unstable from the beginning. I've been updating it constantly in the hopes that something would fix it.

So far that hasn't happened and its gotten much more recently as far as the PC locking up and blue screening.

I'll let you know shortly how it goes.

I took everything on a connector out and reconnected. Cleaning all in the process. FYI its a 9 months old PC.

Memory is not adjustable but is set for 2133 Mhz, quad channel, ddr4 ECC. Which is correct.

Going to check bios version again.

One thing I noticed was I applied default bios settings and Deep sleep control under power management in biod went to off after default where it was on enabled in S4 and s5 before.

The biggest complaint was not coming out of sleep from the beginning with this machine. Hiberantion is off in winblows. Along with almost all power saving settings.

I have updated everything and we are getting the PC freezing on waking up from sleep.

Strange thing is I have sleep and hibernation turned off everywhere on this PC.

And its not totally frozen when it "wakes" the mouse moves but all that you can do is ctrl-alt-del and the menu pops up but you cant get to any of the options.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
