- Update your SSD's Firmware (skip this step if it is not a SSD)
- Reseat the sata and power.
- Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
- Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
I had updated the firmware the other day.
Reseated the drive.
Disk check passed.
Seatools passed with no errors.
Looks like the CPU and motherboard are heating up. How old is your computer and hardware?
I was thinking the same. The computer is a few years old. This morning I took some compressed air to it. Seems to be running cooler now.
