Hi!

I've been playing CS:GO after a long pause. I've had BSOD when gaming once, and BSOD after 5-10minutes of crashing to the desktop, and today after 5mins of CTD. After last BSOD I tried to boot normally but it didn't boot to windows just little "-" mark clicking forever.. Reset from power button helped tho.

I've updated AMD drivers and ran memtest86+ overnight. Sfc /scannow clean. Now booting for chkdsk /f /r

I've played other games without problem and used my PC without problem, so this is weird! Recent changes I've made are switch from Bitdefender to avast. But didn't play CS when bitdefender was installed.

Any help would be appreciated!

PC specs:

Got a 0x1 apc mismatch bsod after playin fallout for a while and exiting it. My computer also went to some odd mode, crash when loading Windows and then it didnt boot on until reseated ram. Only fans spinning like whoom whoom whoom and no display signal. Also once jammed on boot post display. I had that issue when ram was faulty. Now running memtest overnight and see whats up. I have 1 old dimm and 1 new, I hope the old dimm isnt broken like its old pair module.

After running display driver uninstaller I guess it did remove AMD chipset driver too? Forgot to install it but I dunno if it was from that... Might be because have never seen this error before.

EDIT: Memtest was clean. Here is the minidump from that weird 0x1 bsod.. Please if someone would analyze it.. Would appreciate. Losing my nerve with this PC.

The old and new modules, are they of the exact same make, model, specs?

How many passes have completed with Memtest?

I recommend to update/remove the following drivers:
Code:
1) AtiPcie.sys Tue May 5 17:00:22 2009 (4A005486)
2) ASACPI.sys Thu May 14 03:25:17 2009 (4A0B72FD)
3) Tpkd.sys Thu May 21 23:36:18 2009 (4A15C952)
1) ATI PCIE Driver for ATI PCIE chipset or ATI PCI Express (3GIO) Filter
Support & Drivers
Driver Reference Table - AtiPcie.sys

2) Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker in Win7 and Win8). Also a part of many Asus utilities.
Recommended to remove ASUS software.
Support Center | ASUS Global
Driver Reference Table - ASACPI.sys

3) PACE Anti-Piracy InterLok software http://www.paceap.com/support/support.html
Driver Reference Table - Tpkd.sys

Hi,

The modules are exact same specs but different part number. Both kingston valueram 4GB 1333 999-24 1.5V. I think its newer batch the newer module (older bought 2011-2012). I use them in single channel because had some issues with dual channel before. It should be more stable when not exact same memory with single channel? But yeah, memtest had 3 passes overnight. And I've tested them before, when I was solving the faulty RAM.

So I'm 100% sure this is driver related. That chipset driver is that old! Thank god there is 2014 version available from asus support page. Will install it.

Will update the ACPI driver as well, if it is needed.

Interlok also goes to trash bin I guess.

Will report how it is after this!

Thank u!

I would suggest to run memtest again for 8 passes and make a picture of it.

Could you post a link of the specs of the modules?

Allright! Will run it overnight and next workday.

About ASACPI, the newest version from asus site is that one. I dont use any asus utilities like overclock and coolnquiet. Well I removed it from device manager but it didnt delete the ASACPI.sys from drivers, so deleted it manually. Is this right way?

I can check the modules also!

I don't have any programs that use it. Now device manager shows unknown device and tried to delete it and it comes back. So I guess I'll install the atk0110 driver again?

That is because the driver is installed everytime, try disabling the device.

I tried to disable it but every time after refresh it came back. So I updated other drivers and let's see how it goes. About the memory here is the specs:

New module:

KVR13N9S8/4 (99U5474-028.A00LF)

Old one (from 4x4 kit)

KVR1333D3N9K2/8G (99U5471-020.A00LF)

I guess for stability they are better to work single channel, cuz some memory even have problems workin on dual channel with the same kit on Phenom II architecture. Not fact just what I've read after years of using Phenoms. But with not the exact same modules I guess it's a no brainer to use them as single channel.

Except for their specs the modules are different.

I would suggest to remove the old module and get another module of the exact same make and model for the new module.
