I am having a BSOD problem whenever I try to open a file in MS Word or MS Excel using the "File Open" menu. This problem also occurs when I try to attach a file to a memo (in email using Internet Explorer) and use the "Browse" button and try to choose a file.
I have attached the zip file using the SF Diagnostic tool provided. My profile also has all the system details as per your recommendations above.
Please help.

Welcome to SevenForums! :)

Bugcheck 1E and McAfee are common.

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Public
Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Online Backup Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Online Backup Public
McAfee is a frequent cause of BSOD crashes, consider uninstalling it with the McAfee Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.
Make scans with the following:

-Kaspersky TDSSKiller:
-ESET online scanner:
Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

:warn: Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Go to this link: Intel® Driver Update Utility Check for the latest drivers update (Needs Java) and download all outdated drivers for your system.

POst back results, good luck :)

BSOD - "File open" menu - Status after 1st round

As per recommendations from Koolkat77, I have done the following steps:
  1. Uninstalled Mcafee software using Windows "Add/remove" programs
  2. Used Mcafee Uninstaller link below to completely remove Mcafee software
  3. used Kaspersky TDSSKiller -- No issues found
  4. Downloaded Microsoft Security essentials - Complete System Scan -- No issues found
  5. Intel drivers update utility - 2 drivers were downloaded to update it to latest version.
The problem still exists. When I try to open a file using "File open" in Word or excel, or when I try to browse for files to attach to a memo, BSOD takes place. It is very repeatable. I have captured another image of the instance after completing 5 steps above using the Diagnostic tool. Zip file attached.
Thank you for your help.

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using crystal disk info and summary tab using Speccy:
Make a hard drive test from the hard drive manufacturers website.
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Hello Koolkat..
Thank you very much for the tips... here is the status after following up on your recommendations:

-- Uploaded the speccy file for system information to this memo
-- Crystal Disk Info uploaded to this memo
-- Ran Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it: No errors found.

Did not run a hard disk check using hardware manufacturers' website.. Assumed that running Disk check would suffice. If I still need to run, please let me know.
The problem still exits.

Can you post the screenshots please? Like upload them to the website as an image. It's hard to read the texts.

After uploading them take memtest:
Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

The goal is to test all the RAM sticks and all the motherboard slots.

Check your motherboard manual to ensure the RAM sticks are in the recommended motherboard slots. Some motherboards have very specific slots required for the number of RAM sticks installed.

If you get errors, stop the test and continue with the next step.

1. Remove all but one stick of RAM from your computer (this will be RAM stick #1), and run Memtest86 again, for 7 passes.
*Be sure to note the RAM stick, use a piece of tape with a number, and note the motherboard slot.
If this stick passes the test then go to step #3.

2. If RAM stick #1 has errors, repeat the test with RAM stick #2 in the same motherboard slot.
*If RAM stick #2 passes, this indicates that RAM stick #1 may be bad. If you want to be absolutely sure, re-test RAM stick #1 in another known good slot.
*If RAM stick #2 has errors, this indicates another possible bad RAM stick, a possible motherboard slot failure or inadequate settings.
3. Test the next stick of RAM (stick #2) in the next motherboard slot.
*If this RAM stick has errors repeat step #2 using a known good stick if possible, or another stick.
*If this RAM stick has no errors and both sticks failed in slot#1, test RAM stick #1 in this slot.
4. If you find a stick that passes the test, test it in all the other motherboard slots.

If Part 2 testing shows errors, and all tests in Part 3 show errors, you will need to test the RAM sticks in another computer and/or test other RAM in your computer to identify the problem.

In this way, you can identify whether it is a bad stick of RAM, a bad motherboard, or incompatibility between the sticks.
:info: Errors are sometimes found after 8 passes.
:tip: Do this test overnight, before going to bed.
