2 days ago, I left Blizzard Background Downloader on all night and used Auto Shutdown to turn off the computer at about 6am. I've done this 100's of times before with other downloads, but never the Blizz downloader. I have also recently changed the nVidia settings on my GTX 260 gpu to "high performance" parameters, ie making it more nVidia controlled than application controlled (world of warcraft). It greatly improved my performance, but I don't know if either of these are related to my BSOD problems. I can run in safe mode just fine, have been for hours, but upon a regular restart I might get 1-2 minutes of normal use before BSOD. Here are a few dumps, I hope someone can look them over. I have tomorrow off and I don't want to spend it reinstalling Win7 ...

I've attached the 7forum BSOD diag tool folder, but I ran it in safe mode and something tells me that won't help much. I can try to read from normal boot but I only get about 30 sec before BSOD. I've passed windows memory diagnostic, 2 chkdsk's but get instant BSOD from sfc /scannow in safe mode.

I can't do a repair install from safe mode and when I tried it in normal I got bsod. Oh and I didn't have system restore turned on for some reason. I don't remember ever messing with system restore, but... Lucky me.

Still do the repair install? Or follow the clfs guide?

If it were me, I would go with the repair install. That way your computer will be like new. The other solution may have unwanted consequence. The reapair should work.

That link doesn't explain how to disable CLFS, I figure if I can keep a reg boot up long enough to finish a repair it might actually work. My web searches aren't turning up anything useful.

The repair should fix it.

I get BSOD when I boot in reg mode which is needed for repair install. I have started it 4 times, always BSOD right when option to "Upgrade install" or "clean install" shows.
