stavesacre03, did you build this computer yourself? Are you OK with working inside the computer? If you sre, we are going to try s few things. First, please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type
cmd in the search box,
right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste
sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know. Also, what CPU cooler do you have?
Please go into bios and check your sata controller and tell me what it is set to (IDE,AHCI or Raid). It should be set to AHCI. Please look and tell me the values of your +12V, +5V and +3.3V
Please download and install
CPU-Z CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting if you don't already have it. Please run it and post screenshots (
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html) of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory and SPD tabs. On the SPD tab uou can select each dimm slot from a dropdown box in the upper left. I only need screenshots of the Dimm slots populated with ram.
When you installed the board, were there any extra standoffs installed on the case? There should be 1 for every hole in the board to screw it down, no more.
Do you have another graphics card or a friend that would be willing to help you by switching Graphics cards with you?
If you continue to have problems, we are going to try to see what it is.
