Hi Arc, it seems Intel did it, no crashes sofar. This makes me very happy after struggling solong. Thanks!!
May I ask you an additional question? If I close the laptop and open it again Windows will resume (normally a crash) although I have made a setting to enter the standby mode, with laptop open and it times out it will enter the standby mode. Than the power button flashes and the pc comes up quickly. Any suggestions to avoid hibernation an get standby? Re henk

In step 4, put the computer to sleep .... change it to a high one, or never.

Hi Arc, it seems the Intel update did the trick, I have not seen any bsod's anymore. Thank you very much for your help and fast communication. I would never had come that far of replacing the Intel@rapidstorgae drivers. I will mark this thread as solved and again many thanks!!! I will go your link for the standby mode problem that remains but this will be a matter of settings I think. Previously when I opened the lit of my laptop Win7 came up with the login screen, now I think it is evreytime the sleep mode. Is there a way to reset all (apart from factory settings in the menu?) Thanks again! henk

I guess all about sleep mode and related things are available in the tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/778-power-plan-settings-change.html, and the related tutorials listed at the bottom of the tutorial. Just take your choice. Apparently if you disable hibernation, it will be done.
