Hi Seven Forums

Since Thursday (21/8-14) i've experienced crashes, mainly while playing my newly installed Diablo 3 - Reaper of Souls. I can watch movies, play games (Such as CoD: Ghosts, CS.GO, Hearthstone), but when i play Diablo it crashes. It doesn't go to BSOD but through my eventlog i can see the errors: 0x000000d1 and 0x0000001e.

I've looked through google and can seem to find a solution that helps me.

I hope you can help.

I attached the SF tool file like asked.

Birkebusk, I'll try to help with this. This is what I am reading from your dump files

Which is your Killer e2200 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller and updated from http://www.killergaming.com/solutions/Embedded_Ethernet

Also please open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Also, please check and make sure your SSD firmware is up to date. Please take care of the above and let us know if it is any better.

I wasn't able to use the links for bigfootnetworks and killergaming.

But the rest is done and so far it has worked!

I will give it a little more time before marking it as solved.

Bigfootnetworks must be either out of business or have been taken over by someone else. I can find no listing for them. If we have further problems, we may just reinstall the current driver in case it may have been corrupted.

Hi again Essenbe!

As of today my girlfriend now experienced crashes again while playing Diablo 3 (It doesn't go to BSOD, it just crashes and restarts) and there hasn't been any problems since my last post!

There is 2 error codes in my evebt log, the 0x000000d1 like before and now 0x00000124.

I've attached another file here for you to look at.

Both of the error codes point to your Graphics card or drivers. But, it still could be something else. Just curious, the bigfoot network, is that an add on card you bought? If not, the driver should be in your motherboard drivers. That's where it is. You can download the on board Lan driver for Killer Network from your motherboard's site MSI Global - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Motherboard, Graphics and more 64 Try that and you can also look and see if there are any more updated drivers for your board.

I've downloaded the MSI Live Update utility, and wow there was a lot of updates to be made!

About the Bigfoot Network thing, i have absolutely no idea what it is or where it comes from.

If you will look, your Lan is called 'Killer Lan' which is much the same as Bigfoot Killer. It's just built into your Motherboard.

When updating my LAN driver from Killer Networks i get an utility called Killer Network Manager, is, as far as my google can get me, from that Bigfoot Networks. It's monitoring my network activity, programs etc.

Is it possible, that's what's causing the problem?

It is possible, but I really can't say. Many network Lans have a utility like that. I have an Intel Lan which has a similar utility. It hasn't caused me any problems. So, it's really hard to say.

Hi Essenbe

I'm getting very tired of my computer right now!

I've played alot of CS and Ghost these days, but when i went and played Diablo again, it crashed on me twice under 10 minutes. The wierd thing is that it just freezes and it doesn't go BSOD and doesn't leave a message in my Event Log other han the "The system shutdown was unexpected".

Is it my RAM or is it just Diablo that is broke? Or should i just do another clean windows install and try again?

I've uploaded another SF file for you.

Hope you can help again! ;)

I'm surprised I haven't asked this before now.

Please Run Memtest86+
picture.php

   Information
Please download from this site only http://www.memtest.org/ in the middle of the page are the Download links, you can download the ISO.zip or the Auto USB Flash Drive installer.zip

Extract the Zip file. If you chose the ISO image, burn it to a CD using Windows Disk Image Burner or any Image burner you may have. If you downloaded the Auto USB installer, extract it, insert your USB 2.0 Flash Drive and take note of the drive letter. Run the installer, select the Flash Drive Letter, check the format box and press next. It will install memtest86+ to a flash drive. You can use either V4.20 or V5.01. Boot from your selected media. If you use V5.01 it will tell you to press certain buttons at the start, please press no buttons. The test will begin on it's own and continue to run until you stop it. It needs to run for 8 complete passes or until you receive an error. If you receive an error, stop the test. Even 1 error is a fail. Each pass tests a different part of the ram and each of the 10 tests in each pass tests something different. It takes a minimum of 8 passes to completely test the ram, more passes are better. It is quite a long test and will take several hours depending on how much ram you have. Due to the time length it is best to run overnight. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask

The last dump file was 8/31 and was a Windows update that should be installed. Please make sure all of your updates are installed. Please go to Windows Update, in the left column click installed updates and see how many have failed. Also check for updates and install them, keep checking until there are no more, just don't let it install an update for your graphics card.

Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow.

Hi again Essenbe

It feels like i'm beginning to run out of options!

No errors from a 4 hour long Memtest (Dont know if you want anything from that)

I tried Stress testing my GPU with FurMark, nothing out of the ordinary, peeked at 82C and was stable at 80 through the test. (Uploaded a screenshot off the result)

I tried stress testing my CPU (and other stuff) using PassMark BurnInTest. Nothing there.

After i wrote to you last night, i found a "fix" that said i should disable all sound in-game. I played apprx. an hour with nothing to complain about. This morning i tried again and got a BSOD this time after apprx an hour of play (I've uploaded another SF file).

There is nothing more i can install via the Windows Update either.

I think i'll try re installing the game, but if that doesnt work i dont know what to do.

Birkebusk, Furmark is OK although the temps were a little higher than I would like, they are still within the acceptable range. Furmark will make them go much higher than any normal program.

I know it is a pain, but please read the instructions for memtest again. It asks for 8 complete passes and you will not run 8 passes in 4 hours. It will take 9-10 hours at least. They need to be run all at one time.

That's great. It takes that for a complete test. I know what a pain it is, I've had to do it myself quite a few times. Only, I have 16 GB of ram. It takes around 15=20 hours for me. Also, Please google BSOD with Diablo 3. You will find you are not alone. That makes it hard to determine. The error reporting in the OS doesn't usually catch that. Usually if the Game crashes, by default, the graphics driver crashes also, and that is what the debugging usually catches. So, the problem could very well be the game and not the graphics driver. I only say that as I've seen it myself/ I had that problem with a game, but I knew it was the game, but the debugger always said it was the graphics card. So, there is a lot of 'reading between the lines' in the debugging.
