Please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

That is a generic Hardware error and it gives no indication of what it is. I looked and found this

That is a L2 cache read error in your CPU. It is really just searching for the bad piece of hardware or bad software. As much as you are going to hate it, we are going to eventually have to run memtest86+. For your 32 GB of Ram, that's about a 40 hour test. I will give you instructions before you do it.

First I would like you to set your BIOS to Optimized defaults. Look at your SATA controller in BIOS and see what it is set to and remember it, (IDE< AHCI or RAID) set optimized defaults, set the sata controller to what it is right now, make sure your Ram is set to manufacturer's specs with timings, frequency and Dram Voltage, set your Boot Order, save and exit.

Keep a very close watch on CPU and GPU temps. Get same good monitoring programs for thay.

Make sure your BIOS has the latest firmware and if you have any of the AI Suite, uninstall all of them.

Try those things and see if you see a difference.

While you are at it, make sure the firmware is up to date on your SSD and run Seatools on the mechanical hard drives (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/313457-seatools-dos-windows-how-use.html#Part3).
Use Samsung Magician to check the health of your SSD. Run their Benchmark and post a screenshot, if you would. Run Check Disk on the Mechanical Hard drives too. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html. I have heard check disk is not good for SSDs. I run it on all 13 of mine and have never had a problem, but I never advise others to do that.

here is the benchmark. and i ran a disk check on the other HDD and it says its fine,which makes sense because it does not have anything on it. but a weird thing about it is the name of the drive isnt an actual name, this happened to my last SSD when it stopped working. It went to a serial number like name instead of a manufactur like 'Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB', it says WDC WD10EZEX-60ZF5A0. is that a problem?

I suspect the cause is the same - KB3022345 - so uninstall it, then do a Check for updates, and Hide it. That will prevent it from reinstalling until MS either fix the patch (again) or produce an updated patch.

Noel, are you referring to the identification of the drive? cjcarroll, the name you are giving is the exact name of the drive you list in your system specs. I suspect you were looking at that drive, if I understand what you are saying.

I uninstalled and hid it and scanned the computer again. it shows no integrity violations. I have not used it since then so I am not sure if it still crashes or not. I will let you know within a couple hours.

My computer keeps freezing 10 seconds after startup. I guess I spoke too soon yesterday! I hope we can fix this problem now.

I was looking at your Samsung test. Which Motherboard port is it connected to? It should be connected to port 0 or 1. Those are the ports controlled by the chipset. If it is connected to an ASMedia port, it could cause the problem.

Also, check and make sure that same update didn't install again.

I don't know which port is which I'm assuming 0 and 1 and the first and second ports on the top. If so then my Samsung is in port 0. And I can't check the installations because it freezes so fast

If I format both of my drives and redownload Windows 7 with my windows CD. Would it run again? I don't have anything special on this computer so it wouldn't bother me any.

Your Motherboard should have the port numbers next to each port. Your manual will tell you. If you have a Windows Installation DVD, you shouldn't need to download it.
