Hello alexthepie.

You age getting a Stop 0x116, which is a display related error.

You are slightly overclocked.
Code:
CPUID:        "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz"
MaxSpeed:     3400
[COLOR=Red]CurrentSpeed: 3411[/COLOR]
As you are getting BSODs, you should stop overclocking and run all the hardware components like CPU, GPU and RAM to their default settings. Also set the BIOS to default, too.
How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
It is safe to have at lease 30% more spare capacity than the required.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

Can you dismantle the computer and clean the inside carefully? Clean specially the fan grills and air vents to make it sure that it is blowing the hot air out properly. While re-seating, dont forget to apply thermal paste to the CPU.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

There are some BIOS updates for you. If you can do it, plan to update it.
Code:
BiosVersion = 0208
BiosReleaseDate = 05/25/2011
I would suggest you to take the version 3402 , dated 2012.06.13 from ASUS - MAXIMUS IV GENE-Z.

Let us know the results.

-turned off turbo settings on startup and reset factory default

-according to the site i require about 586watt
i have 850 watt

the cpu felt cool during the burn test it has 7 fans however...
the burn in stress test shut the computer down within a minute the gpu temp kept rising not much air was comming out the back of the gpu exhaust ?

the problem seems to be the fan speed doesnt go above 40% when gpu load is above 85% not sure how to change graphics card fan settings?

You may try program like nvidia system tools, MSIafterburner or SpeedFan to try to control the GPU fan/cooling. But if it seems that the hardware is not performing properly, it is best to replace it, IMO.
