BSOD playing Rocket league - and issues with 360 controller + USB port

I wonder, if I update to windows 10, would that potentially solve these problems? (especially if I install the drivers correctly from the get-go). I think the 360 controller has an updated driver for newer systems. And perhaps windows 10 is more stable. Just curious on your thoughts.

Your problem will likely be solved with updating the drivers of your controller.

If you update to Windows 10, then it is recommended to do it the right way by immediately performing a clean install.
The update itself could cause problems.

As I mentioned, I have the most up-to-date drivers for my controller, but perhaps since the most-up-to-date drivers are from 2009 that gives a BSOD, microsoft only care about making it compatible with newer OS's. Anyway, I'll do a clean install of windows 10 and report the results.
