Have you at any time used a registry cleaning tool? They can cause problems such as these...

I think I did as it solved this problem at one point before. Next step would be getting a fresh windows on here?

You could try doing a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html if you do not want to lose your data or programs. If you have a backup of the data and not too many programs, then it would make sense to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html.

In the future, please stay away from automated software that cleans the registry or applies other "optimization" tools. If you need help with a registry related problem or want to optimize your computer, there are experienced users in Performance & Maintenance who can help, and that forum also has good tutorials for optimization tasks.

Repaired and installing updates now, hopefully should get back to where I need to be. Yeah I know I shouldn't have done it but I did it anyways, I panicked. Thanks for leading me through this, I'll update any problems if there is any. I really appreciate it. I'm hoping getting the service pack on will help.

Alright, let us know how things go once the service pack is installed. If you have problems installing updates in the future, we have the forum Windows Updates & Activation here for that, as well. You would just have to start a thread detailing your error and someone would assist you to solve the issue.

I think http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 may have been the solution to your recent updates problem.

What did it do when it rebooted? Did it just turn off, reset to the screen when you first turn it on, or did it tell you it was shutting down?

Download and install HWiNFO64 Download and run in sensor only mode. Start logging, save in a place that you will remember, and post the CSV log next time after it reboots.

memory_corruption is back. Try resetting BIOS settings to default to reset the CMOS and put the DRAM voltage back to automatic.

If that does not work, try to determine which RAM module(s) is/are bad by running with two at a time and doing your normal routine in Windows.

Also, AMD is very finicky with RAM. Please do the following at your convenience:
  1. Start HWINFO with the box unchecked for sensor only
  2. Click Save Report
  3. Choose a destination by clicking browse
  4. Save as an html file and upload here

I will check your RAM to see if it is compatible with your motherboard and CPU.

Sometimes you want to set them back to default again after flashing the BIOS to clear the CMOS afterward, too. In some instances, this has to be done two or three times to get stability after a flash.
