BSOD ntoskrnl.exe ( nt+71f00 ) ???

Hello everyone,

I am running Windows 7 Utimate 64-bit and I have gotten many random BSOD's while being use on internet . I have opened the dump files. And all of them say that probable cause is: ntoskrnl.exe ( nt+71f00 ).

View attachment 53661

I have attached a .zip file with these dump files too.
I've passed the test of memory, no erreurs was dectected.

Any information very much appreciated.

You have so many different causes I have to believe it is hardware related. Most likely memory. You checked the memory with what application and for how long.

The DMP cannot determine the offending hardware so we are going to have to approach the problems one at a time

I would

Download memtestx86 and run for at least 5 passes more would be better. It not only tests the memory but will point out if a heat issue exists

Run a system file check
type cmd in search>right click it and run as admin>sfc /scannow
let us know the results as you may need to run it more than one

If you are overclocking STOP. put everything back to default

Let us know if you need help

Ken.

Many thanks to you,

To answer your question :

1. You checked the memory with what application and for how long.

I used memory diagnostic tool on BIOS de DELL. I passed 6 hours to test memory but no erreurs are detected.

Hi Tuấn,

Thanks Tuấn so much, i use Google Chrome to open page Facebook, at that time i receive this new BSOD, that's the reason why we have a PROCESS_NAME: chrome.exe.
I use Avast! Antivirus.
Do you think it come from Memory ?
I used memory diagnostic tool on BIOS de DELL. I passed 6 hours to test memory but no erreurs are detected.
But i can't use Memtest to test it, i ran it (using Memtest) for 30 minutes and it stop.

Thanks you so much.

I had the same BSOD you were receiving when i reinstalled 7 a few days ago. I have the same modem and 7 automatically installs the right one. The Ricoh driver you have installed is probably the 32-bit version, as was my problem. Use the application I attach. After it extracts the files, go to where they are extracted to, and select the 64-bit version, instead of letting the installer decide which one to use.

Override it. Trust me, it solved my problem completely. I got the idea from another forum where others reported it working for them as well.

Thanks for the advise, It is appreciated

Hey Quang Anh, make sure to update the drive date from 2006 that I mentioned, driver that about 4 years old is not good in window 7.
I have seen Avast causing BSODs (not a lot but some). I wonder If you are willing to try Microsoft Security Essential for testing purpose (It is BSOD free). Here is the link:
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials
Make sure to uninstall Avast before installing MSE:
avast! Uninstall Utility

Memtestx86 usually take quite long to finish even 1 pass, I would recommend to let it run over night (mine take about 24 hours). If there are any error, you will see red line appear on screen, otherwise your ram is ok

Hope it's help
