Even since I purchased my laptop, I've been getting a "bluescreen error" message after having to turn on my computer from a long standby or sleep mode (be it leaving the computer for a couple of hours, or simply shutting it and going to bed)
I've updated drivers and BIOS, and the only driver that still fails is the microsoft teredo tunneling adapter (code 10). any advice as to solve my BSOD's?

I suspect that your Rt64win7.sys, which is Realtek Ethernet driver caused this BSODs. Please download and install fresh copy of it.
Please remove Zone Alarm, I suspect it is the main cause:
ZoneAlarm uninstaller - removal tool available - Windows Help Forum

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
