This is a brand new PC build, Windows 7 Ultimate. I've been getting random BSOD crashes daily ever since. I've re-installed Windows 4 times now. Done Memory testing, stress testing. No errors there. BlueScreenView is saying it is caused by driver ntoskrnl.exe

I need to rule out everything before I start RMA on everything... Please help me!

Hello Brandon and welcome to 7forums! :)

There is a BIOS update for your motherboard and since you have told us that you have done pre-troubleshooting I'm quite certain it will fix some of the issues you are facing:

And here is a guide on how to update the MSI BIOS:

Thank you so much for looking at my issue. I've seen that webpage so many times and that BIOS update was never there, only the A.6 update LOL!

I will try this when I get home this evening and let you know how it goes. Thanks again, Boris!

Ok, updated the BIOS with no problems. Booted up and started using it for about 30 minutes and another crash. 3 more to be exact.

What's next? :(

Were the crashes the same ones you got earlier or were these new ones?

they were the same. However...

I went ahead and upgraded to Windows 10 and so far have not had any issues. Is it possible a corrupted driver happened while making the bootable usb?

Well Brandon I don't know and without any files of the errors it's quite hard to tell.

But probably could be!

I just hope you won't have anymore problems!

Cheers, Boris :)

Yeah, the dump files are gone now since the upgrade.

Thanks again for looking at it! Hopefully I never see another crash... Take care!
