If it is the situation after re-applying the thermal paste, you will need to replace the CPU. It is overheating and causing the issues there.

Well, good job. Postpone the plan to buy a new CPU, till it is controlling the heat there.

Yeah, idle it's around 40 when my case is closed and everything is all said and done. Under load it never peaks over 50.

Nope, but to be honest, I couldn't tell you if the issue has stopped because the BSODs I used to get were quite rare. But nope, no BSODs.
