So I very recently built my own desktop, everything was running well. Installed window 7 Ultimate and from there tonnes of drivers and windows updates popped up, the usual. However, at decently spaced times it would BSOD, but it's become more and more frequent I've tried to see if it was the drivers, most if not all are up to date. There's no issue with the hardware, I've tried hunting through the dump files but I don't know what I'm looking for. Any help on fixing this would be amazing, I'm so tired of this uphill battle.

I managed to grab a quick pic of the BSOD, hopefully it helps, sorry about the flash.

As per the instructions I've attached the folder containing the dumps and other goodies. Anything extra you need from me, let me know.

Thanks,
Raserhead.

Info Update

Upon some digging of my own while waiting, i discovered that there is apparently 2 things causing the issue through BlueScreenViewer, and have been consistent throughout all the BSOD's:

hal.dll
ntoskrnl.exe

I'll attach BSV's full details of the most recent one.

I've looked into some fixes but none of them have worked, would anyone here have an idea of how to fix this? It would be greatly appreciated.

0x124's are almost always a hardware issue. Start by running a minimum of 8 passes of Memtest86+ to check RAM.

Run a minimum of 8 passes, preferably overnight, or until errors occur using MemTest86+.

Reference this tutorial to help you use MemTest86+:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

the HAL and ntoskrnl.exe are generic references in many BSOD'S and unfortunately aren't much help with 0x124's.

Sorry for late reply.

Counterfeit installations such as yours contains heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analysing BSOD's and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable.

My recommendation is to start with a clean slate, and install a genuine version of Windows. This will minimise the problems you are experiencing, and make subsequent diagnosis of BSOD's far more reliable. Once you are running a genuine Windows installation, and are still experiencing BSOD's, we will be happy to help you solve them :)

I was just running this version as a temporary thing while i got everything together, I'll be getting it legitimately soon.
Nice to know that's all it was, thanks for all your help.

Ironically enough, the BSODs have stopped, but I've probably just jinxed myself.
