Hi,

I've been getting BSODs while trying to render in Max and Vray. Happens every time so I can't finish the render.

I have been getting the occasional random BSOD too (outside of Max) for a while now so I suspected that something was wrong. Please help!

1st try updating windows using windows update.
secondly, i want you to run this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
Then report back if your ram is clean.
As well, unplug any usb device for a bit.
in start type "device manager" and look for any drivers with a yellow mark near them.
what usb devices do you have in?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

The windows auto update had been failing so there was a lot of updates needed. After installing these I managed to render a few times, bit then the BSODs started again, although there doesn't seem to be any reference to USB in the new dumps so the update seems to have done something.

I ran 8 passes of memtest over the weekend and got no errors.

The only USB devices I have in now are MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, a TP Link 300mbps Mini Wireless N USB Adapter (which is new and the PC was crashing before this) and the VRAY WIBU Key dongle (which I have just updated the drivers, to see if it stopped the BSODs).

I've attached the latest 3 minidumps.

Thanks for your time.
