Hello,

I'm glad this resource exists. Thanks in advance for any help provided. I would classify myself as a novice user that has experience primarily through neccessity (between game playing to work use). I purchased a HP Pavilion dv6-1245x from someone roughly in January and have had no issues with a BSOD before. The only recent change was I downloaded a business card template from the Avery website a few days ago. Yesterday I had a BSOD after rebooting my computer. It occurs repeatedly. My BSOD states:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

In safe mode the following information is provided:

Problem Signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 50
BCP1: FFFFF8000402B080
BCP2: 000000000000000
BCP3: FFFFF88007777D83
BCP4: 000000000000002
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768

Using the program BlueScreenView it shows the following (summarized):
Bug Check Code - 0x00000050
Caused by Driver - ntoskrnl.exe+ 7f1c0
File Version - 6.1.7601.17835 (win7sp1_gdr.120503-2030)

In the lower area of BlueScreenView it shows highlighted:
Filename - ntoskrnl.exe
Address in stack - ntoskrnl.exe+25f40

I am uploading the zipped information from the SF Diagnostic Tool. Thank you again for your time and effort.

Michael

Laptop info:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T6500 @2.10GHZ 2.09GHZ
Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
System Type 64 bit

I also ran a virus scan in safe mode and found nothing.
And I ran a memory check with windows memory diagnostic (I think that is the name) all it came up with was that the machine has a memory related issue.

Problematic software:
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Symantec Endpoint Protection	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Symantec Endpoint Protection	Public
Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for win32k.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for win32k.sys
Probably caused by : [COLOR="Red"]SRTSPL64.SYS[/COLOR] ( SRTSPL64+27d83 )
All your BSODs are caused by Symantec Endpoint Protection. Suggest you to uninstall the program.
(Use revouninstaller to uninstall it Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall)
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public

Spybot does catch stuff sometimes, but its known to corrupt the system down as well.
Suggest you to uninstall it.

I and many members on our forum recommend Microsoft security essentials with
a great combination of Malware Bytes.

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
Malwarebytes - The Free version
http://www.sevenforums.com/system-security/206705-good-free-system-security-combination.html

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

In addition, Run this tool and delete anything it finds:
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

Run the system file checker to repair any corrupted files
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Then run disk check for hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it

Keep us posted of the results

Your information was spot on. I used revo unistaller pro to remove symantec endpoint protection and spybot. I have run TDSkiller and found no other issues. I will be installing the recommending microsoft security essentials and malware bytes later today. I have not had a BSOD issue since removing the problematic programs. Thanks so much, incredibly helpful.
