As the title says, my PC will go from Windows Aero to Windows Basic 1 minute after being switched on. I have tried to turn aero back on from settings, but the option for peek is greyed out and the option for aero isn't in the performance tab. DWM is running and restarting it doesn't fix anything. I can't play any games as this issue also makes games stutter to the point of it being unplayable. Uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers also didn't fix it.

Basically, Windows boots up, everything loads that needs to load, then the screen flickers and it switches to Basic.

Sure.

It looks to me like there's an issue with your graphics card. That being said, we're going to need more information about your system. Please fill out your system specs as best you can. In the meantime, we'll need to know which video card you have.

I have the GTX 970 graphics card, and this issue only started after updating graphics drivers, but rolling back doesn't help. My Specs are AMD FX-6300 CPU 8GB RAM and MSI Gaming 970 mobo

I reinstalled the graphics drivers, and it went through the assessment fine, but it gave my GPU a rating of 2.0 for gaming, which is definitely false, should that be something to be concerned about?

Edit: My PC decided to re run the assessment and failed at the same thing as before.

After my PC decided to re run the assessment itself and failing, I still can't get Aero to work, as it isn't an option I can choose in advanced system settings

I would try uninstalling the card through Device Manager then physically removing it from your PC, reseat it and reboot. Let Windows find a driver for it and see if the problem is resolved. If it is then update the driver to a newer version.
