MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 complete passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Make a photo of the result and post it.

Addition:
If errors show up you can stop the test, remove all sticks but 1 and test this single stick in each slot for 8 passes or until errors show, switch sticks and repeat.
If errors show up and you see them a lot later, no problem, the errors don't affect the test.

After a lot of frustration, I think I have the Test CD burned. We shall see.

If my suspicion is right (hardware issue), reinstalling Windows won't help anything and may even render your pc unable to boot.

Thank you. Memtest ran overnight and only did two passes in that amount of time. No errors found. Is it possible to accelerate this process, for example, by testing one Ram stick at a time?

It will take less time for the test on a single stick, but overall the time it takes may not be different.

You were perfectly clear, you want to perform the test as fast as possible. That's sort of possible by testing 1 stick at a time.

I believe shorten isn't the right word, because if you would want to shorten a test you essentially want to skip a part of the test which is not something you'd want.

Not sure where you learned English. If I wanted to TRUNCATE the test, I would have said so.

The English I learned is mostly british English which from what I was told at school is a bit different from USA English, but in the end it is really about the interpretation.

Sorry to be gone so long. It became obvious that the only way to run Memtest would be if I had another computer to use for internet while it ran. Ran several days. Said it made Eighteen passes, no errors found. However, I'm clueless as to how or where to find the report. Somewhere I read that you have to MANUALLY save it at the end of the test run. Too late for that now, run has stopped.
Bought a new computer, but would like to get this old one fixed from BSOD so I can sell it.
Going to be a long time before I can post again, flying to another state to be with my parent, both dying.

The memtest suggested doesn't save anything in form of a report, as far as I know it only runs the test and nothing more.

Ok, so the Memtest86 showed zero errors after Eighteen passes.
Yet it just crashed BSOD again.
I'd like to get this finally fixed.

Since it has been some time, could you upload a new zip from the DM Log Collector please, so the new crash(es) can be looked at as well.

Supposedly, this log was saved to my desktop.
However, I cannot find it.
Could you please explain in extreme detail HOW to find and post this log? Seriously, I 've tried everything.
it is as if programmers DELIBERATELY hide things so that normal people can't use them.

I am literally screaming, ripping out hair, smashing furniture. This is insane.

This should be as easy as putting a key in a lock, not as hard as a dam rubiks cube.

The file that is requested should be located in %userprofile%\Desktop, as you know it (the zip file) is there after the command prompt of the tool closes, as you've found it earlier I'm surprised to read you've had so much trouble.

As an alternative, please do the following

• Open an admin command prompt
• Copy & paste the code below in the command prompt
• Go to your desktop
• Right click CollectedFiles folder and choose sent to and select compressed (zipped) folder
• Upload the zip.

Ok, something you need to understand about me.

If you ran the command I posted in my previous post, there should be a new folder called CollectedFiles on your Desktop which should contain a couple of files. Is that folder present in %userprofile%\Desktop?

If the answer to the question is yes, then right-click the folder CollectedFiles and choose sent to and select compressed (zipped) folder. Then upload the zip file.
