Recently just started getting random bluescreens while gaming on csgo. played 100 hours of cs before it started happening and getting nowhere with google.

only happends so far with csgo. ill play anygame for x hours or days no bsod but only happends with csgo.

so far 3 different blue screens. as i have attached below. my gpu runs around 80-90% while gaming but stays at around 60degress cpu runs warm but not too hot. no idea what is causing it. can't seem to get it to bsod consistently to isolate the problem.

one day it BSOD twice while gaming. i did a few updates then went 4 days hard gaming before bsod'ing again. any help would be great :(

if ive left anything out of this post please let me know. first time user/poster.

One Bsod is related to network interface controller drivers so try to update those from realtek site.

Hi,

Your crash logs point towards your Nividia drivers and Razor devices (Keyboard)?:

Check the nvidia website for the latest drivers, choose option 2:

Refers to: Nvidia Video drivers

I would suggest to :ar: Rollback this driver to the previous one as it is the latest driver installed.

thank you guys so much! ill check on those and update!

but I actually dont own a razer keyboard so thats really strange it would have drivers for one.
i have a razer nostromo (gamepad) that i dont use. and a razer deathadder but thats it for razer tech. it does show my deathadder under keyboards though. and teh (gamepad) under mouse. would these be causing the issues im having? or should i just roll them all back. both mouse and gamepad?

i never use the nostromo gamepad could i just unplug it XD

ill get back to you guys once i check the drivers! thank you all again so much!

Hi,

After another look, the driver belongs to: Razor Virtual Joystick driver
So either rollback, as that diver has been updated recently, or uninstall the program.

cheers

The driver rzjstk.sys is located:

C:\windows\system32\drivers

You could try manually disabling the driver by right click and renaming to:

rzjstk.sys.old

Reboot the machine.

Now see if any issues exist relating to the driver? If issues start, then rename back to rzjstk.sys
and reboot.

If you are satisfied no issues are present then return to the driver folder and delete the driver. Reboot

Cheers

I am still bluescreening this time i was watching temps on my computer. where i live it gets very hot room temp around 76-77degress air temp. i was watching my graphics card and it was getting 5-8 degrees hotter than it normally runs at higher loads. the load being 80+ during csgo. which is odd for a 660. i might try to downclock it. give it a little less power than 100% and see if that can help the temps but would like to know if that would even help or if im on the right track.

ull upload the grabtool info again but the only bluescreen is the 6/18 one

its also key to note that while playing any other game under medium to high loads. there is no bsod. the bsod only happens while playing counterstrike. which also ONLY started after the new official patch.

SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE (da)
This indicates that a page table entry (PTE) routine has been used in an improper way.

If you are Overclocking in anyway then please return to stock as any overclocking will result
in some stability decrease. If BSOD's are only occurring after installing the new official patch
for CSGO then I would suggest re-installing Steam, reinstall CSGO without the patch,
see if issue remains?

I would also suggest uninstalling any uneccessary programs and free up the Start-up:

Click on the Start button
Type msconfig , click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.(or any necessary items)
Apply > OK
Click the "Services" tab, click the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box, then click Disable All.
Click OK, then restart the computer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once done run these tests and post back:

Run SFC to check the integrity of all Windows 7 system files:
  • Click on Start > Type in search cmd
Right-click cmd after results are displayed and Run as Administrator
Type SFC /scannow at the prompt
(Note: There is a space between SFC and /scannow)
:ar: SFC Tutorial

   Note
Select option two. If any problems are found, run the scan 3 times and immediately
reboot the computer after each scan.

Also run chkdsk in an elevated command prompt in order to check for file system errors and bad sectors on your HDD:

  • Click on Start>Type in search cmd
  • Right click cmd and Run as Administrator
  • At the command prompt please type: chkdsk /f/r
(There is a space between chkdsk and /f/r)
:ar: Chkdsk Tutorial

Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

   Tip
Run these tests overnight

cheers

well the good news i dont have anymore bluescreens XD the bad news is i bought a new mother board.

i needed to upgrade my motherboard anyway i was just being lazy about it. but i tried lowering all clocks and doing those tests but i still got a bluescreen :( its key to note that my MB was bought used and has been giving me tons of troubles since day 1. so i just had enough and got a new board. im going to use the old board to build a secondary rig. and use that as a streaming computer or sorts. thanks so much for the help though! i still dont really know what the source of the bsod's were every bsod was for something differant :( anyway thank you again for all your help! It's been most helpfull!

Hi,

Glad to help and glad its now sorted.

Well whatever the reason for the BSOD'S, at least your up and running now.
Would have been nice to find out the root cause, but you cant win them all :)

You can mark this solved if you like.

Cheers

Dave
