Hello everyone,
This will be my first post on the Win7 forums, so please excuse me for sounding like a bit of a newbie.
Starting about 3 weeks ago, I began receiving BSOD's with the stop code: 0x0000001E. After having my computer checked by the Geek Squad in Best Buy, they couldn't really tell me what the issue was but were pretty certain it was a driver issue. They also did a full system diagnostic and my hardware was determined not to be the issue. This lead to them uninstalling and reinstalling the video card (Nvidia Geforce GTX 560) and they had me on my way. But to no avail for last night, when I was gaming, (Borderlands co-op) I received a BSOD with the pre-mentioned code. I copied down the code, and restarted my computer. Like every time before, (this was 3 BSOD's in total) I noticed that my Wireless USB Adapter (Linksys AE2500 Dual-Band) was not recognized upon start-up and was quite hot to the touch. I disconnected and reconnected the device, which worked. To make a long story short, I have basically pinned the issue down to my wireless adapter. But what does everyone think? Would this diagnosis make sense? I uninstalled and re-installed the adapter driver, but does is this enough? Thank you in advance for any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
