Hello Guys
I'm new to this forum, but i was hoping somebody could help me solve my issue.

I've had my custom built since last year december, changed my mobo once in the summer ... I had no problems with it until a couple of days ago ... It keeps on BSOD'ing in random situations, I though it could be a hardware problem ... but im just not sure

I'm attaching the mini dumps to the post, if they will be any use to u guys.

The error messages i get are:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
reference_by_pointer
and
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

I will be very very thankful if anybody can tell me what is wrong.

Kind Regards
Marcin

Hi Marcin,
Start troubleshooting your problem by removing Avast and replace it with MSE.
You may go back to Avast after your Windows have stabled.
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Remove Alcohol or Daemon software because they use sptd.sys which is notorious for causing BSOD in windows 7.
Uninstall sptd.sys with this tools --> DuplexSecure - Downloads
Then for alternative software, you may use MagicIso.

One dump have bugcheck code 0x119 (VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR), so I would recommend you to reinstall your Graphic driver.
While reinstall, better to remove current driver with driversweeper then install the fresh copy of your ATI drivers.
Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

Another dump blame on PxHelp20.sys as the cause, it's Sonic CD/DVD driver (used by many different CD/DVD programs). So better to reinstall that programs as well.

Then these drivers need do be update:

Hello :)

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

So do you reckon these are the only issues? I was really worried my whole paycheck will go towards new hardware.

I will do as you said, have already started. Will get back to you ASAP with the results. Is there any programs i could use to save a log from my system where it can tell me how efficiently it's running now and I can post it here, so you or somebody else can analyse it.

Also, i did SFC /SCANNOW, it showed an error, fixed it and since yesterday night i had no problems (well so far) i didint save the scan results as they were in Polish, much useless to anybody not speaking it, although could have saved the name of the file that has been fixed -_-

Thank you so much again :) REP FOR YOU! :)
Regards
Marcin

Hi Marcin,
Glad to hear your system have run smoothly.
Make sure to update the drivers and perform SFC /SCANNOW once again to make sure your windows have fixed completely.
(the report must be = "system file checker did not find any integrity violations")

Hey :) Yeah, it has been okay .. but today i have reinstalled it because it was running pretty slow, and this is the best method for me. Takes me as much time as fixing it up anyway. Although I now know how to deal with BSOD's a bit more ... I was just panicking a lot.

Thank you very much again :)

Right ... so here I am, all pissed off now ... I thought the reinstall would solve all my problems ... but no ... I was playing COD: Black Ops yesterday, and in the middle of a mission it blue screened and i could not turn it on even today ... had to undo power supply ... leave it out for 1hr and then it kindly showed up ... I dont know what it is .. it's never done that to me. I had this computer for 1 year now, built it myself. I have never had any problems.

I will include the dump with this post, but is there a point anymore? Or could it be hardware then?

I did sfc /scannow, did not find any integrity problems like last time.

// UPDATE

so yeah, i have done a bit of research, instead of insinuating and asking stupid questions all the time, I found out these two are causing a problem according to my BlueScreenView Program.

atikmdag.sys and ntkrnlpa.exe,

as with the atikmdag.sys ... a lot of people experience the same problem ....

but i dont see why my windows 7 kernel could be in any way corrupted as I just bloody reinstalled it ...

I buy a genuine copy of every program and try to keep my pc in good condition ... doesn't help much.

Yes, your latest dump probably caused by atikmdag.sys and also your current ATI driver is outdated.
For troubleshooting purpose, uninstall/disable CCC (Catalyst Control Center).

Then try some hardware test :
1] RAM test with memtest86 for at least 7 passes (better overnight)
2] VGA card stress with furmark

Update these drivers:
Code:
atikmdag.sys Mon Aug 17 20:03:58 2009 --> ATI driver
Rt86win7.sys Fri Nov 27 01:44:53 2009 --> [URL="http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/"]Realtek NIC driver[/URL]

Right since the dump i have installed the latest driver, but the same problem happened, although without bluescreen ... which was very weird.. It just froze up the PC twice so far. So I will just disable the CCC. Good idea.

With mem test i will have to remove my motherboard, to remove my HUGE Zalman cooler ... because the ram sticks wont come out LMAO. I will do that as a last resort. In fact i will have to buy new conductive paste.

Anyway, thank you very much, I owe you big time for the amount of work you put in to help me, I appreciate it MUCH!

I would love to provide those files for you to check them out, but I can't run my computer for more then 3 minutes without BSOD right now. At the moment, I can't turn it on. Lucky I still have my laptop ... :/

OMG ... and never buy cheap Windows software of Ebay .. the guy had high rating, 100% feedback and the discs turned out to be counterfeit ... bloody hell! >.< I wanted to have Windows 7 Ultimate fully in English ... what the hell is wrong with people ...

The guy sent his apologies, and is willing to give me a refund ... He said his supplier is to blame, he knew nothing about it. He also said 2 other customers complained too, so yeah, I'm not yet insane.

But what the heck is wrong with my PC!!

OK, then your hardware, at least your basic hardware, is working properly. It is probably your counterfeit copy of Windows causing the problem. You really won't know until you get a legitimate copy of Win 7. When you do, reformat your hard drive and and do a clean install. It is quite possible and even likely that your copy of Windows includes malware - virus, keylogger, Trojan, etc. You can't really do anything with the installation you have.

Just so you know, that forum rules prohibit us from working with illegal software of any kind. This is not a criticism of you. You got taken. It is just that we cannot help with an illegal copy.

Hey.
I totally understand, I have had a legal copy of a Polish version just before this, and i had the same problem, I'm sure it's nothing to do with windows at all. I only installed this one because i wanted to have a full english version.
