BSOD & SWTOR (Dump Inside)

I had alot of things going on at once and not sure which one may have cuased the BSOD.
I had Swtor open on my main monitor, and my secondary one had a youtube video open as well as 5 other tabs open in chrome, and i had a HD video playing in VLC. All of a sudden crash so im posting the dump here for someone to look at. thanks

nVidia High Definition Audio and Cisco VPN are disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?
Please enable these programs/devices, update their drivers, and then (if so desired) re-disable them again.

EVGA Precision (along with Riva Tuner and MSI Afterburner) are known to cause BSOD's in Win7 systems. Please uninstall this application immediately.

Your Abit uGuru drivers date from 2006. They must be updated or removed from your system.

Your nVidia System Utility Driver (nvoclk64.sys) dates from 2007. It must also be updated or removed from your system.

If you are overclocking, please stop while we're troubleshooting. Once we're finished and your system is stable, feel free to resume the overclock. The memory dump shows a small overclock (48 mHz).

EVGA had me disable the HD Audio on my graphics card if i was not using it while we were troubleshooting the card a week or so back. As for the Cisco VPN, i just uninstalled it because again it was a one time use and has never been touched again.

EVGA Precision has been removed from the computer and uGuru is as up to date as its going to get, the lastest version i was able to get was 2.0. I have been unable to find a newer version. I'm not even sure if i even need uGuru. Im downloading and going to install 3.1x which looks to be the last update and its from 2008.

As for nVidia System Utility Driver (nvoclk64.sys) im not sure what im suppose to be looking for cause under drivers on the nvidia site u have different series graphics cards and such and im assuming that specific sys file isnt part of the graphics drivers so not sure what or where im suppose to update that one file.

The video card is factory OC'd and is a new replacement from evga that has been in the computer for a little over a week now with no issues.

If any of these can be removed because they are not necessary please point me in the direction and ill remove them accordingly.

uGuru has to be removed simply because it's older. You can reinstall it later on if you need it - but for now we need it gone for troubleshooting purposes

The nVidia System Utility is a separate program that hasn't been offered in years. Please uninstall it.
Should you need similar functionality, you can install this free tool after we're finished troubleshooting: NVIDIA DRIVERS 6.08

Then monitor for further BSOD's (and upload them as they occur)

Overlocked anything causes problems with SWTOR presently including RAM OC'd via manual XMP settings.

ok its been a few days but finally i get another random BSOD here's the logs for it. This time i wasn't even at the computer just had it up on the desktop with chrome open walked away and came back to this dreaded blue screen

You still have driver remnants from uGuru and nVidia System Utility. Try this:

- make a System Restore Point
- make a System Repair Disc (and test it to make sure you can boot from it). To do this, go to Start...All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc.

- Use Autoruns (you downloaded it to create the reports) to search for an disable any instances of uGuru.sys and nvoclk64.sys
To do this, remove the check mark that's on the far left side of that entry.

- Then go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename uGuru.sys to uGuru.BAD and then rename nvoclk64.sys to nvoclk64.BAD

- Reboot to ensure that the system boots properly. If you have problems, run the System Repair disc to access System Restore and use the System Restore point that you made to set the system back to the point where it was bootable (you may have to rename the files back from .BAD to .sys also - use the Command Prompt for that)

The driver MtiCtwl.sys dates from 2008, please update it. It likely belongs to MagicTunePremium or PortTalk Driver by Samsung Electronics, Inc or Beyond Logic

This memory dump blames you Microsoft Security program. Please uninstall it, then download/install/update a fresh copy of the program. Then immediately perform a full system scan.

The system is modestly overclocked (48 mHz). Please don't overclock and please don't use any of the system utilities that overclock by using things like "Turbo mode". They are known to cause BSOD's in some Win7 systems.

- Use Autoruns (you downloaded it to create the reports) to search for an disable any instances of uGuru.sys and nvoclk64.sys - I wasnt sure what this program was cause it is not what was used to create the reports for you but i found a copy of it online and did as you directed.

The driver MtiCtwl.sys must be from an old program because I do not have MagicTUNE loaded on this computer so i did the same for this file as you directed me to do with the others. nvoclk64.sys was not located in the drivers folder but was located in C:\Windows. I changed that only instance of the file there to nvoclk64.BAD.

You say my computer is OC'd but i had no knowlege of this as I do not even know how to Overclock nor do i feel the need to. i See where it says MaxSpeed: 2400 CurrentSpeed: 2448, how can i go about fixing this because I dont wish to have more of a headache on my hands. I built this PC myself and i believe uGuru was a program that would allow u to OC but i never used it i just installed all the drivers for all the components of the computer so not sure if having it installed OC'd the processor or not.

I have also removed Microsoft Security Essentials and will now be reinstalling it updating and running a full system scan.

After rebooting the system i loaded into the bios to check my core clock and uGuru Utility is part of the bios which adjusts the settings. It was set on the default settings which was shown as:
CPU Operating Speed 2399(266)
External Clock 272MHz
Multiplier Factor 9
Estimated New CPU Clock 2448MHz
DRAM Speed Default (DDR2-816)
PCI Express Clock 100MHz

while in the default I was not allowed to make any changes, but i could select the CPU Speed and set it to USER and it would adjust every option except for Estimated New CPU clock, that stayed Greyed out.

You went 4 days without a BSOD, and now you've had 2 in the space of an hour or so.
What is different today? What programs were running that haven't been used for 4 days?

Another older driver popped up - it's either the Avanquest Connection Manager - or the connection manager that you may have used to install a router. Did you do this, and can you check the router CD to see if that's where BVRPMPR5a64.sys came from? It's dated from 2007.

If the BSOD's continue, first try running Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Then, upload those memory dumps and start with the free diagnostics here: Hardware Diags
Start with the memory diagnostic and Prime95.

ok john the only things that i ever have running and that were also running when this happened twice now were SWTOR, Ventrillo, Coretemp which is running when my pc starts, and Chrome nothing new. On Thursday i got a new Netgear router but was unable to set it up via the supplied disk so I just set it up via router login. I popped the CD in that came with the router and did a search for that sys file and it came up in the search. so yes it must have stuck that file onto my pc even though i was unsuccessful in using the cd to begin with. how can i go about removing this driver?

Side note that I also just installed CPU-Z to keep an eye on my CPU clock and temps cause im still curious about the timings. After both crashes i went into the bios after researching my processor and I set it to the correct 226MHz x9 like it is suppose to be set at and have been running fine for the past two and a half hours.

To remove the BVRPMPR5a64.sys driver:
- create a System Restore point.
- create a System Repair disc and ensure that it works. To do this, go to Start...All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc
- disable any startups that name BVRPMPR5a64.SYS using Autoruns (free from here: Autoruns for Windows )
- rename BVRPMPR5a64.SYS to BVRPMPR5a64.BAD (it's probably in C:\Windows\System32\drivers)
- reboot and see if that fixes the problem(s)

ok so as you can see its been two weeks or so since that last BSOD. only thing changed in the system is im now running a friends gtx 560ti card to see if maybe if was a graphics card issue ive been having. its been inn here for 2 weeks with no issues. Started playing Batman Arkham City got 30mins in then the game froze up. i crashed it back to the desktop then BAM BSOD.

thanks for the timely responce John. Ok I went in and updated the xbox drivers to microsoft current drivers, updated to the latest CORETemp, as for the GEARS i have never known what that was. I noticed it one day a while back and just never uninstalled it, so this time i did just that and removed it with CCleaner. Before I got to run memtest i did the driver verifier and wouldnt you know i get a blue screen, so heres the dump for that.
Oh and my apologies i totally forgot that i hooked up that xbox controller yesterday when i started playing Arkham City.

XBox controller drivers still date from 2009 - probably not an issue, but....
This memory dump blames USB. It could be:
- bad drivers
- bad hardware
- Windows problems

I'd tend to not blame the drivers - but they are from 2009.
Hardware can be either the XBox controller, the USB ports in your system, another USB device interfering, or other problems.

Visually inspect all of your USB ports to see if there's any damage to them.
Try using the XBox controller in a different port (preferably one that's on a different Hub) - if you have USB ports in the front of your case and in the back - it's best to switch from front to rear or rear to front.

If that doesn't lead anywhere, then remove the XBox controller and uninstall the software/drivers. Then use the system for a while to see if the BSOD's recur without it.

Don't forget to run MemTest

FYI - I'm having eye surgery tomorrow. I'll be limited in my webtime for about a week, but I will be available for limited times.
