Problem mainly began after world of tanks 9.6 update. Reinstalled game no change. Reinstalled windows on formatted SSD, updated all drivers, checked all memory, SSD, video cards, power supplies, peripherals etc...all checked good. Stress tested system, no temp issues or power issues using using CUPID/GPU-Z/FurMark/ etc does not crash doing any benchmark or stress test.

Problem started out with partial freeze during game (sound still works and mouse still works, can access other programs on other monitor for about 10-20sec) then system completely locks up.

After reinstalling everything, system BSODs all the time, but never completes the dump process, it usually freezes @ initializing dump file. It has only actually left a dump file one time. Sometimes it won't crash for hour and others it minutes after reboot and into game. Has only BSOD outside of gaming 1 time and that is when it made it thru the complete dump process. This has been going on for about a month now sporadically but every since I reinstalled everything this weekend, it happens constantly. any help would be greatly appreciated.

All BSOD's have been the same

Hi mulethumper,

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to: Start > Type: msconfig.exe - Press Enter
  2. Go to the tab 'Boot'
  3. Bottom of the window there are check-boxes, tick the one called 'Boot log'
  4. Press Apply/OK
  5. Shutdown the PC
  6. Wait 10 seconds
  7. Turn on PC
  8. Go to - C:\Windows and find a file called ntbtlog.txt
  9. Upload this file to this thread also
Once you have uploaded the file, I will take a look and we'll see what we can do from there.

Hi Mist, Thanks for the reply here is the log.

Also while reviewing everything I've posted I noticed the one and only dump file BSOD I ever got, is a little different than the one I constantly get, so I've attached the one I get constantly, that is where it stays...never completes the dump process.

Also after hours of combing thru the forums yesterday, I found a thread about deleting the wininit.exe file. I did that and things have improved. I was so tired last night but i think it has been ok since. If not it should crash shortly and i'll post.

thanks for the reply.

Thanks for uploading the files.

Wow! Your PC has a lot of problems, but don't worry, we will start with the biggest and work our way to fixing the little stuff too.

The main problem your computer is facing is that it is not loading most of the drivers it needs to at system start-up. This can be fixed relatively easily, follow the steps in the link here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

Let me know how it goes and after running SYSTEM REPAIR - 3x consecutively, post up your ntbtlog.txt

Thanks

I've done as you asked, all 3x reported no problems. I did this several times before I reinstalled windows, and it said the same thing. I have noticed that when I start a game it will start like I've never played it before, with beginners menu, but nothing else i.e. progress is NOT lost. It seems like the SSD may be losing/misplacing things. So I went and ordered a new SSD just in case....

Well I found the problem. The newest 2 Nvidia drivers were conflicting with my soundblaster recon3d drivers and was causing a lockup. Reverted to older release date of nvidia driver and all working great. Thanks for the help tho.
