BSOD - The driver is mismanaging the system PTE... - Memory management

I've gotten 2 BSODs within the past hour trying to reinstall Windows 7 on this machine...

I'm helping out a friend and I've ran Memtests and ran across some errors while it was doing so, and it ended up going to an error count loop where it'd reset the counter and jump back in half a second to the same memory count.

While reinstalling Windows 7 for the first time, I got the BSOD saying "The driver is mismanaging the system PTES... so I googled that error and it turns out some people were talking about nvidia card drivers. I am using an ATI Radeon card but I doubt there's anything I can do if I can't even boot up to an installation, correct?

Just need to know where I should go from here... Getting another video card or replacing the 2 sticks of memory.

So there's nothing on the hard drive? It was wiped clean before installation?

Well, Windows 7 was on it before reinstalling but I kept getting all these random BSODs so I tried reinstalling, thinking maybe the OS was corrupted... and now I'm getting more just simply trying to install Windows 7 again.

Can you boot into safe mode?

There's no OS installed. I'm getting the BSODs when trying to install the OS.

Is there data on the hard drive? It might have become corrupted and the hard drive needs to be wiped clean first.

That's what I've done the past 2 installation attempts, formatting the drives. Actually deleted all the partition until there was nothing but raw unallocated space.

Have you made any progress? I would like for you to try to scan your hard drive for corruption. Listed below are two bootable cds. The first one requires that you have a copy of Windows XP. The second one does not. Burn either one to a disk and boot to it and run hard drive diagnostics. I would recommend the first one since it boots into Windows XP from the disc, kind of like ubuntu, and has lots of diagnostic tools built in.

I've ran a hard drive test on the 1TB HD when I was running hardware diagnostics. It didn't report any errors at all.
