Greetings all.
So glad a place like this exists.

I get BSOD some days, not at all, some days up to 7 times in a day.
I guess it does seem more common if I am playing facebook games, or playing youtube video
BUT
it can be on a fresh boot, before even logging in.

I have
-gone through windows/microsoft updates
-gone through the Dell Command updates
-had 2 sticks of RAM, different speed and different manufacturer - now Ram is same/same
-sfc /scannow (had some stuff it did not fix)

grabbed a file someone else uploaded and viewed the reply they got, trying to find where that answer came from

still not sure what to do/where to go with this.

*I did have to crash my AV to get the BSOD tool to work correctly on my system

thank you for your time

here's what i have:
Usual causes: Memory, Paging file corruption, File system, Hard drive, Cabling, Virus infection, Improperly seated cards, BIOS, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack
we can rule out the last one because you went through all the updates, memory is out as well because you have tested that already, this leaves pagig file corruption, filesystem, hard drive, cabln, virus and inproperl seated cards and bad mobo, i think it may be a ard drive corruption because of this line:
DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware

Thank you for that.
I will check the HD using the link you provided.

re: page file, I neglected to mention, as it slipped my mind, I have actually removed and readded the page file to rule it out.

Thanks again, I will see what I can find at the link you provided.

Hello again.
I reviewed the link.
I do not have any noise from the drive, it being an SSD instead of a spinner.

So I ran a couple of tools, and they at least seem to think the drive is okay.

edit: to add a memtest shot
I had not run memtest since putting in the new memory.

edit again:
where do you see this?
"DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware"
I ran Agent Ransack over the files from the ZIP file, and it did not locate it
I just searched for this part
DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR

you will need t put it through a debugging software to dind those sorts of things, also, if that is fine, check your motherboard and BIOS

Okay I found what you are referring to.
In the DMP file, then Debug then the "analyze -v" data
It almost looks (to me) like it is looking for a drive that is not there, I am going to double check my bios settings for extra drives, I don't have.

BIOS:
A34 is the latest for my machine, and I am on that version.

MOBO:
going to pop it open to see if maybe I can see anything, also going to check all connections are snug.
Will pop my RAM and SSD out while doing so, just to make sure all connections are sound.
In looking for a tool to check the MOBO I found something(sort of), I will attach the results.
(When I noticed it was going to take 6 hours for a full scan, I stopped it early.)
edit note: What few capacitors I could see, look fine. Verified memory and SSD were snug, they seemed to already be, but still.

SFC:
I ran this again, *this time it actually said it fixed EVERYTHING* Hooray!

Intel Scan:
Found/ran the Intel scanner it said it found "nothing" for my system. Hopefully that means "that I need"

Antivirus:
Running Sophos (as noted in Profile) but doing a 3rd party, just in case.
edit note: 3rd party scan was complaining about network settings and never would run.

DVD/CD Drive: (edited to add this section)
Just had an epiphany, maybe. My DVD drive would not read discs, it would eject, but nothing else.
A USB CD drive, worked. Another from a same make/model worked. I swapped the DVD drive. I am now wondering if that could have been the failed drive that was reporting. I wouldn't have guessed a failed DVD/CD drive could cause BSODs but...maybe?

Summary:
No BSOD since 8/9 currently 8/12 - not claiming victory, but optimistic.

Thanks for your help. I will let this age a week, and close if the BSOD stays away.

Back to mark this as solved.

I did technically have 2-3 events yesterday, but it was at the same time I was having network issues, and everything was going crazy. Not going to hold it against the laptop, not being able to handle the crazy of the network.

Since the 9th - no issues (except for the events/time) and none since that was resolved.

Thanks for the help.

Additional closing notes
I would say none of the actions here were wasted, all were good practices etc.
But
the 2 things I think had the most impact on solving this
-sfc Finding and FIXing everything
-DVD drive being replaced
