Solved BSOD Video related I believe

My first BSOD happened when I had both a game going, minimized, and a Divx movie loading. I was able to restart and I updated my drivers from amd. But I kept blue screening while watching youtube videos, or playing a game. Sometimes I would even blue screen on start up though. My case gets pretty warm and heats up my room while gaming, but I'm not sure if it's too hot. The video card was pretty warm to the touch but I'm not sure of the actual temp or if it's even the video card. A friend of mine installed MSI Afterburner and used that while gaming for a bit, but I myself do not know anything about overclocking, so I have since removed it. I'm not sure if this damaged my computer or what is going on. I am on another computer since mine is unstable, but I am usually able to get on it for a bit if I don't load videos/games. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Please for first step,

Uninstall Avira AntiVir,restart and use the Avira AntiVir RegistryCleaner

Download and instal MSE Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

Update the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver http://218.210.127.131/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

It ran a chkdsk when it crashed before I did the audio driver, blue screened a few times after that, and was revving up when it started. But after the audio driver update restart, I'm able to watch videos and it's stable, no blue screen yet. I will use it more when I wake up.

I was fine for a bit today, I watched over an hour of videos and had no problems. I went to make dinner and came back to a blue screen. The fans ran pretty loud on start up, like they do if I am in a graphics intense game.

Please upload the new minidump file.

In meantime,in that order,

Shutdown the pc for 30 min(let it cool)

Start the pc and let it alone to run for 15 minutes,then restart and check in bios system and cpu temperatures and post them here.

When and only after you have done the above first steps do the follows,

Download and install http://phyxion.net/item/driver-sweeper.html

Download the new ati driver from http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Uninstall ati software/driver,restart in safe mode,use driver sweeper to clean ati fragments,restart.

Install the new ati driver,restart.

Update DirectX.

Check gpu temperatures in idle and while playing and also post them here.

My idle system temp was 38 C and CPU was 45 C. I did the driver reinstall and checked DirectX. I am going to check my temp while playing a game, but may blue screen. If I'm unable to be in a game at the moment, I will try a bit later today.

I didn't play for long, about 20 mins, and then checked BIOS again (is that how i am supposed to check?) and my system was 45 C and CPU was 48 C. If I need to play longer, or check temps another way, please let me know. Thanks!

Temperatures looks ok.

The new error is memory_corruption error.

I doesn't show the fan speed,what is the fan speed during the test?

Is in the automatic fan speed selection?

Or you enable and use the manual fan control?

Right click on desktop click on catalyst control center-ati overdrive.....

It may be different for you because i use the old catalyst.

I have AMD VISION Engine Control Center, and when I go to the AMD Overdrive tab, all that info is grayed out and unchangeable.

EDIT: I see it's locked with a key now.

My fan speed is 40% at the moment (and automatic), should I check during the test?

By pressing the key you unlock the overdrive in case you want to manual change the fan speed etc,(is not anything dangerous if you just increase manually the fan speed)

Try to manually increase the fan speed and try to hear if its actually change speed.

Drag the <<volume>> to the right at 60% and click apply,after that the fan must be faster and louder.
