Alright I hit apply like you said at 60%, and it def increased the speed and I heard it increase, displayed speed in AMD Overdrive also went to 60%

You open the case? Check if everything is clean

Set it back to automatic by pressing defaults apply.

Tip: if your aggressive player its a good idea to manually increase the fan before you start playing. What games are you play?

Yeah my fans are still clean, I wiped off the little dust in it now. I cleaned it about 1-2 months ago with q-tips and vacuum.

Yeah I'm a pretty aggressive player. Games I have played or are going to play include: RIFT, World of Warcraft, Sims 3, Dragon Age Origins and Awakening, Guild Wars, Magicka, COD Black Ops, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Portal 1 & 2, Oblivion. I can't think of anymore lol but yeah, few of them are pretty graphics intensive, so when and what should I increase fan speed to?

Also, is my video card and/or settings why I am blue screening?

I actually haven't had a BSOD since I uninstalled the ATI software/driver and used drive sweeper. But I haven't been on this computer much. I will use it tonight, I'm actually going to workout right now, and I use my computer to watch videos from my treadmill so I will do that now. And tonight I will play some games on it, and see if I BSOD.

I blue screened again, when I wasn't on my computer, only yahoo messenger was open. The memory dump stopped at 45 and didn't complete I assume, I'm not sure why, but then I shut it down.

Sometimes I'm fine playing a game, sometimes not. Attaching again.

It also ran check disk not long ago, with a lot of errors, but I dont know what any of them mean, attaching note pad of results.

Anything else I can try? I'm still randomly fine, randomly crashes, but now I have had my computer freeze also. Once when starting up a game, and another when opening firefox after I saved and quit, it was going to open about 5 tabs I always have. Just freezes, and I can't control alt delete or anything, just hard shut down.

Also if you have no further suggestions just let me know, and I'll figure something else out. And thank you for trying to help.

Hi again Laura.

Lets try these steps in this order.

Please completely uninstall/remove your RealTek High Definition Audio Codecs.

Restart and let windows to install the ''classic'' audio driver.

Dont install anything yet,work and play as usual,wait for results and post back for the second step.

I'm having more troubles today, my computer will either freeze on the login screen, or shortly after logged in. I haven't tried in safe mode yet, but I will do that soon and report back if I can do that plus what you suggested.

Edit: In safe mode, I was able to uninstall RealTek, and after I was looking through the programs it blue screened on me. And I tried to start it normal, I got logged on and windows was installing the classic audio driver and it froze again, so I had to turn it off. I haven't had it freeze so much before, it doesn't appear I can get on it at the moment.

I tried my computer again tonight to see if it would stay on without freezing, and it did, but I now cannot connect to the internet. We have been having trouble with our modem not working right, and having to move cords to different ports to be able to connect, can a bad modem cause BSOD?

A bad modem driver?Yes can cause troubles.

Update your realtek high definition audio drivers from Realtek

I ended up doing a system restore so I could connect to the internet, so my RealTek is back installed and up to date, but it's still showing an error in my device manager.

I ran the system file checker and it didn't have any errors, and I am running the CPU stress test now, hopefully it can go a few hours without my computer blue screening.

The stress test reported 0 errors and 0 warnings after 4-5 hours. Check disk ran and I went into event viewer and found two logs, attached if you need to see them. And I will start MemTest now, how long should I let it run?

It seems that something is not right with your hard disk.

First download a cd image burn it to cd an run a drive fitness test Downloads

The memory test ran for longer than before and had 0 errors. I ran an advanced drive fitness test and it finished successfully with 0x00.
