Hi,

I have an issue with a couple of machines that are blue screening, and I attach the zip file from one.

No information is being written back to the minidump file, and the BSOD normally occurs out of office.

The machines are different models but all HP machines. There are aound 50 machines onsite, all using the same OS image but only a handful are affected.

We have gone through and updated software \ drivers both through WIndows and third party software deployment tool (HEAT)

I can get an additional information from another machine if you think this may be advantageous.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards
Nick.

Hi Boris,

Thanks for that. I have updated the BIOS on that particular machine. However, we have another BSOD (same make and model) but has a more up to date BIOS. Would you be able to take a look for me?

Again, thanks in advance.

Regards
Nick.

Hi,

For some reason the OS is not writing any dump files. We have tried to configure Windows to create these but they are not writing back. This is happening on multiple machines,

This has added to our problems!

Regards
Nick.

That might mean that there is an error with the paging file.

Please double check your settings here :
Control Panel - System - on left side Advanced System Settings - Advanced tab -

Startup and Recovery - Settings - System Failure - check the box to Write an Event to System Log

uncheck Auto Restart

make sure the Write Debugging is set to small minidump

and the default folder should look like %SystemRoot%\Minidump.
